Qatar doesn’t have any ‘energy challenges’
They have the Koreans building solar plants and enough fossil fuels for their own needs.
It is Japan that needs fuel from Qatar NOT vice versa.
China and Korea are already way out in front of Japan supplying and constructing solar energy plants in Qatar.
Japan has lost its edge and it shows.,,..

What delirious, delusional market speak and it serves to make some people doubt the authenticity of actual efforts to save the environment, control climate change and create a sustainable economy.

Facts are inconvenient but the truth is out there.

Talk about cap in hand.

Really? Did you mean this one?
Japan to provide $330M for Qatar mega solar power plant
Japanese banks will provide huge loan for one of the world’s largest solar plants in Qatar, says a bank statement

Or this one?

You are so correct. The truth is indeed out there.

So what? Qatar is cutting a lot of deals with a lot of countries. In fact, it was Japan that help develop the LNG market with Qatar.

The 800MW-capacity Al Kharsaah power plant is the first large-scale solar plant to be developed in Qatar. The developers of the plant are Siraj Energy and a consortium of Japan's Marubeni Corporation and France's Total Solar International.

Shilling for a megacorp can be expensive too but profitable.
Greenwashing does not come cheap for the LDP and it's Japan Inc. partners like Marubeni.
We are all paying for it by fake SDG corporate welfare that supports the LDP and ME feudal oligarchs.

Why not just buy gas from our neighbor Russia? Middle East requires us to pay mountains of money, to USA for transport security, risk war with Iran and the ships have to cross the whole world.
green energy.
then there is cheap Chinese solar panels. Not allowed.

Have you any idea how well-regarded and sought-after Japanese energy expertise is around the world? Countries literally entrust their entire energy "master plans" to JICA. Countries like Bangladesh, for instance:
https://www.jica.go.jp/Resource/project/english/bangladesh/016/outline/index.html
Here are some energy-related projects JICA is/has been involved with, and more are being signed all the time, like with this trip by Kishida. And that's before we even think about the countless private industry projects:
https://www.jica.go.jp/Resource/project/english/subject/energy/09_1.html
And here is a general list of areas JICA is involved with. You will see that Japanese expertise, in all sorts of areas, is very much sought-after all over the world:
