Until the US wants something else and needs to invent another scapegoat like Bhagdadi.

The key to defeating the likes of IS is stable effective competent and not too corrupt government in the countries which will remove the breeding ground of these backward, bigoted and narrow minded religious zealot murderers. This individuals death will help but it is not the end. IS still exists, has supporters, weapons, explosives and a sick desire to inflict pain and suffering on the innocent.

Sez Suga, staying on script. He erroneously believes he's playing it safe going along with Trump's deluded Middle East playbook.

What the hell does Suga have to say about this? All Japan does is throw money at any situation in the middle east and it expects people to listen. Abe couldnt do jack with Iran, why does Suga's 2 yen even matter here?

Suga just wanted a photo op.

Perhaps the removal of the evil Plotter-in-Chief of IS might indeed take the wind out of their sails.

In reflection, al Qaeda definitely went off the boil after bin Laden was taken out.

Naive Japanese, leader what do Isis have to do with Israel and Palestine

Wise words, Minister Suga, wise words.

You know, I’m really glad that the US was able to do this before they pulled out. And I’m actually for the pull out, especially after this. It means that the US can only do so much, and there can be a full international cooperation in order to rule out elements like ISIL.

*root out elements like ISIL. Sorry, another typo on my part.

In reflection, al Qaeda definitely went off the boil after bin Laden was taken out.

Were they not already off the boil at the time he was killed? That's an honest question. My poor memory tells me focus had already shifted to other groups.

While I won't shed a tear for al-Baghdadi, I suspect others will pop up in his stead.

But if it's true he deliberately killed his children, then I will start to despair.

Meh. It's more a case of the hydra, with another few heads growing back. It's rather difficult to destroy an ideology, you know? 75 years after ww2, and we're still dealing with fascism.

Meanwhile, someone's been telling porkies about the death of al-Baghdadi. What a surprise.
