Communist North Korea is believed to have enough weaponized plutonium to make at least a half-dozen atomic bombs and conducted a nuclear test last year, earning stricter U.N. sanctions.

then Japan should give top priority to nuclear disarmament...the fact of the matter is NK is least interested in holding such talks so long Japan is the participant.

Why do politicians the dwell on the past, its gone, can't change it,move on. The UN dealt with the South Korean warship issues,The Norths being is being punished by sanctions, but they want to move on.Whats wrong with that. Tell me, when will the time be right for you people. There is to much hate and mistrust in this part of the world.

With all due respect sir. Can you please elaborate in what part of this...

North Korea’s apparent interest in a quick resumption of "six-party" talks on Pyonyang’s nuclear program

...this new imply that North Korea don't want Japan being part of the six-party talks?

I believe Japan should cooperate and accept the nuclear disarmament talks. It's time to get rid of all nuclear weapons to include the US and Israel and make this a safer world to live in. Additionally, I believe all countries should comply with international laws and respect and not interfere in the internal affairs of of sovereign nations.

All this article is saying is that Japan has conveyed to NKOrea that SKOrea is still very pissed off over the sinking. Can'y blame them really.

Japan lends moral support to South Korea and US for these talks but the players in this talk are US, South Korea v North Korea and China. Japan harping on Megumi and other abductees automatically disqualified them for any sort of dealings with NK given how Japan abducted 5.4 million Koreans for murderous slave labor and abandoned them all over the Pacific, former USSR and Southeast Asia.
