America best ally the United Kingdom , has simply walked away from US monetary dominances without notice. That says all who is who have had enough..!

but now that is exactly these western powers will not allow it to become.

China welcomed those western countries. they were invited to join months ago. won't this clear up all the transparency issues with the AIIB? in terms of control, this bank sounds more fair than the World Bank, which does what the US says only.

The first order of business for AIIB, to pull out PRC from the collapse of their bubble economy.

Paid for by the PRC, since that's where most of the AIIB's money come from (in the initial stages at least).

The participants in the JT environment are usually very uninformed about the situation in China. It is true that there are huge environmental problems and a huge amount of non-transparency and corruption in government at all levels.

That being said, there are actually massive and mostly positively developed transportation infrastructure projects within China and stretching out to and through its neighbors. The effect of this infrastructure is to not only speed up the movement of goods and people within China but also further integrate the supply chain network that undergirds the intense economic activity in the region. Xi Jinping's "belt and road" ideas are not pipe dreams but actually real and potential. That is why the neighbors want in on Chinese-led infrastructure development and also why the further destinations in Europe want in to.

This is not to say that there will not be governance issues for China and the AIIB, but we should also appreciate that China has probably the most outstanding infrastructure performance in recent years. Unlike in Japan, China's road and rail lines actually lead somewhere useful, and unlike in America, the Chinese understand the importance of transportation and other infrastructure to buttress prosperity.

AIIB should restrict its membership and deal cautiously with highly indebted nation(s) !

Japan’s participation “is not going to happen under the Abe administration

Japan had stayed-out, why not keep staying out? Have guts and brain!

Those 30 joined are probably wisdomless. Your worries about governance and environmental safeguards are "rightfully""right".

AIIB sounds great because it can help develop some regions. However, there seems always be a race of power behind it. I know that it is how things work, but still it's disappointing.

citing worries about governance and environmental safeguards.

Environmental safeguards? This coming from the US?

Don't forget that the last thing China expected (or wanted) was for so many western powers to sign up to the AIIB. It was supposed to be a geopolitical slush fund which would justify its actions by saying 'if you don't like that we only give money to Chinese allies why didn't you join when you had the chance?‘,.. but now that is exactly these western powers will not allow it to become.

the reasonableness of a China to work collectively to address infrastructure financing, a sorely needed thing.

China only works collectively to undermine its enemies. They have no friends except Russia and NK, after all.

It is inaccurate to say that Japan is caught between the Americans and the Chinese. Japan will side with America, most likely. What Japan is caught between is the American ideological and geostrategic dislike of China and the reasonableness of a China to work collectively to address infrastructure financing, a sorely needed thing.

Well, Abe is doing the right thing by staying out of that boondoggle. There isn't going to be much money made there.

Japan is split over joining a China-led development bank, concerned about missing out on the rapidly coalescing global movement for the institution while also worried about alienating ally United States and helping bolster rival China, officials said

Japan will be probably the only US ally that won't join to AIIB. Indeed, I think also SKorea, Canada and Australia will do it. Abe is very pro-US and will follow Washington.
