Yea well then don't do joint drills with the US and South Korea.

Can't have it both ways.

How do you know it's both ways? When have you heard of Chinese and Russian fighters scrambling because US and allies enter their ADIZs?

Well, I'm sure that will take care of it and that will be the end. Problem solved!

We will closely monitor the increasing cooperation between the two countries with a sense of concern,"

Phew, ...that's a relief.

That only happened because China unilaterally expanded their ADIZ in 2013 to overlap those of Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

A single reconnaisance plane is hardly the same threat as Fighters and Bombers as the Chinese and Russians have been doing.

No, it isn't going "both ways".

when chinese and russian flew in international air space it makes "concerns" and unle Sam may say its a "provocation" a threat of peace in region.

when americans fly close to DPRK and doing war games with ROK and Japan its called a "renshu" dont need to worry about.like sh.t happened

somebody say to that clown on photo that he is just american poodle acting in name of US interests...

Wow. That's a 'severe' statement full of 'severe' emptiness.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

The political diplomatic typerope is thin.

The consideration to purchasing up to about 500 Tomahawk cruise missiles

Must be backed up with a clear defence policy.

The Government of Japan must make sure not to blow smoke and mirrors, no umming and ahhing there must be a clearly stated, fully engaged military objectives.

Japan is surrounded with the past, forced fed, to politically, yes aggressively dictate J peoples future.

By neighbours glued to the past.

Only strength in office will prevail.

Around Japanese territory is the same as near Chinese, near Korean territory.

You will come across with more integrity, if, you do not do the same thing, IE, join air force activities, with other countries IE? USA??

@Eastmann Its called territorial boundaries the Chinese feel they can fly anywhere in or near the so Red sea that they call China's. Because China seem to want to claim everything they feel they can fly where they want to and call it "freedom of navigation" but when other countries sail through their so called claim areas they shoot water cannons at them or bully them but when the US does it they follow them making loud announcements of their claims that the US ignore. Any other country China would take action. If China feel they are a big dog with teeth why not shoot the water cannons at the US like they do the Philippines? Is it because they swallow their teeth and make threats that they dare not do. LMFAO Putin is a sucker to Xi I would rather team up with NK than Russia they are at war now and we see what their planes are doing in Ukraine. They are grounded LMFAO their is a no fly zone for Russian planes in Ukraine because the crap will get shot down. Good job Japan they buy what they know works. You heard it here Dec 2-3 the world will hear about the beast that will be released hint GO Raider 21!!!

Some facts.

China & Russia have the right to hold joint patrol since concerned ADIZ are nothing more than international airspace.

At the same time, Japan has the right to patrol China's ADIZ.

Russia is an aggressor, destroying Ukraine, killing innocent civilians, women and young children, destroying towns and cities, destroying electricity and water. That's Russia!!

China, by joining hands with this Russian thug, monster, criminal. You're sending a message not only to Japan, but all other neighbors in the Region!

Japan is behind militarily Yes! For now!

We can catch up very fast not only to South Korea, but to Russia and China as well. If you think half of Korea has potential, Trust me Japan can do much better! !

What kind of deluded nonsense is this? Japan is occupied by a foreign military. You need not even think about Japan matching the military of Russia or China but the occupying power with Japanese tax payers money and the Japanese military, acting as cannon fodder for the occupiers, matching Russia and China.

Dear Japan...

And why don't you join China and Russia and do patrolling, military and economic cooperation ALL together with Korea???..

Together they would be unstoppable in the East and would get rid of Western meddling that only wants to take advantage of the Far East...

Yea well then don't do joint drills with the US and South Korea.

Can't have it both ways.

BEST COMMENT OF THE DAY !!..

Um because Japan is not that stupid???

Japan is not the only one responding to these Chinese-Russian ADIZ incursions.

South Korea is also responding.

Russian bombers, sometimes accompanied by fighters, fly close to the US west coast with regularity and nobody in the US government complains. If anything these occasions rate a few lines somewhere on a news site and might be mentioned late in TV news. The Russian and Chinese navies conducted a major exercise off the Alaska coast last September and there was nothing said about it. The Coast Guard monitored the exercise and that was it. The only reason I am aware of it is it was mentioned in a maritime blog. The exercise was not mentioned in any major news site.

I think Japan would be better served to say as little as possible about these events and instead send up a force of front line fighters to keep an eye on them.

Severe concerns too about those joint Russo-Chinese fleets which wended their way in and out and around the islands of Japan? Trying to get a rise out of Japan, but not really succeeding.

"We have severe concerns! But please understand and cooperate when we do drills with South Korea and the US, Australia, and other nations while attempting to box you in."

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Russia and China were practicing freedom of navigation in air!
