Is Abe imitating Trump's Space Force?

Long overdue and necessary.

Japan has been dragging its feet when it comes to space.

During the 80s and 90s we could have been the 2nd country in the world to land a man on the moon. Didn't do then so China and other countries don't feel threaten.

Can we do it now? Can we set aside the barriers which we place on ourselves and do great things again.

Why waste all this money on space and weapons ,bought from the USA. It seems logically that we should invest in health and prepare for any virus attacks in the future ,that’s the next weapon of choice I guess.

Bureaucrats cannot get 2 mask to the population nor implement distant learning. And you expect them to do better in space. What a joke. They can't even prevent the chinese from chasing japanese boats in japanese waters.

The money could be wisely spent equipping all government schools with aircons and heaters, Instead of the spartan education environment that they are.

Looks like these guys are paid to look for ways to waste taxpayers money.

It certainly looks that way, doesn't it?

Didn't the Japanese Space agency launch a net to catch space junk? And it became junk? Give it up already. How about fixing the space next door.
