Japan and SK are too dumbfounded on political power just because US is at theyre backs. collateral damage is the worst part of it. if that war will be start in the future, believe me, 3 countries will have no future. and US is safe playing as the mastermind.

The reason to have those militaries and exercise their capabilities publicly is to prevent war. If your adversary considers the price of attacking you too high they won't attack. A large force, well trained and with the clear intent to use it if attacked is the best deterrent to war, and far less costly than the wars being perceived as weak invites.

Japan, US, and South Korea alone would give any country a run for their money

Good. NK needs to be reminded what may happen if they go crazy.

America and Japan have close ties that a third country cannot damage.

Great to see three peace-loving democratic nations standing up to an despicable, anti-freedom bully.

Pound sand, China.

Three of the finest destroyer classes in the world right there.

A very strong alliance.

No way NK has the slightest hope of standing up to it.

That's why it's fast tracking it's nuke capabilities at all costs.

This show of force will only drive it faster

At the first danger US runs away.. Remember Afghanistan, lol..

US wants to leave Afghanistan

Meanwhile, Russia is whining that the US is not running away from Ukraine but keeps giving them more and better weapons, LoL

South Korea has no interest in Taiwan.

No interest in standing up to China.

No interest in standing up to Russia.

Koreans are only interested in the Korean Peninsula.

Promises to Kim was made under Moon, promises of weakness and appeasement which North Korea loves.

Promises to Beijing China was made, 3 famous promises of no more THADD, and no alliance with Japan or USA against China.

GSOMIA Intelligence agreement, Koreans threatened to leave, in the last 50 minutes Korean change his mind! In the last 50 minutes before time expires Korean made its mind to switch and not quit.

That only took twenty years and in a place with minimal strategic value. I guess if your argument is the US won't meatgrinder its soldiers like Russia, you might have a point. Fortunately our tech works.

im not siding any one of them. im just against the playstyle of US using smaller countries to provoke whoever oppose him.

Ukraine on Russia

Taiwan on China

SK and Japan on NK

None of the sane residents of the defending countries here think they are being used.

However, South Korea is complaining about the calling name of the sea where the drill was done. They're claiming to change the name from the Sea of Japan to the East Sea though they never claim to change the name from the Yellow Sea to the West Sea with fearing China.

nope. you all can see that he is eager to pull the trigger.

I disagree. The Norks are rational players. They are not suicidal. They are not going to initiate a war unless they see ROK and the US being so weak they can be defeated. Rather they greatly fear the US and ROK invading them. We know the US and ROK have no intention of initiating hostilities in Korea but that is their fear. The civilian death toll is simply too staggering to contemplate (estimates are 100,000 deaths per hour on the first day of a 2nd Korean War as DPRK artillery and missiles demolish Seoul) so there is no way the US and ROK are going to start something. In fact it prevents the US and ROK from retaliating against DPRK when their side commits the occasional violation of South Korean sovereignty, lobs artillery shells into a South Korean island or sends drones over Seoul. The constant training, done is public with obviously modern front line equipment serves to deter the DPRK from restarting the Korean War.

Modern warfare isn't like what you say anymore.

Are you sure? I might be older but I have been around the most modern developments in warfare for a long time and still work in that arena. Deterrence still works and is a heck of a lot less expensive than the wars that result from appearing to be easy pickings.

You ignore a major difference. Afghanistan was an enemy state we invaded in retaliation for providing sanctuary from which Al Qaeda attacked the US on 9-11. Japan and South Korea are allies who will be fighting with us, not against us. And as mentioned above there is a heck of a lot more at stake.

S Korea, please listen carefully. Japan, along with the US is trying to work with you against NK, we are not your enemies for the last time. Stop getting all that plastic surgery because its getting to you. Really think about your immature actions, you are a small country that NK wants to destroy, yes life has been good economically (thx to Japan and US) but get a hold onto reality.

They have spent one year now with their silly drills, instead of taking care of the real problem: Putin.

I miss President Trump because he led the United States to accelerate its development and its economy regressed for decades

i think you're not watching on a broader perspective. Japan and SK is closest to NK. what will happen to them if NK go crazy? US will be safer on the least but nuclear weapon is still a nuclear weapon. if they know that they're barking at a mad dog, they should know it will bite if cornered. you're thinking no casualties on Japan and SK? you must be blindsided.

that would be effective if the country or any entity you are facing has a common sense. that is knows how to be afraid on a "large force". but what we are talking here is NK. that boy Kim who we all know is a prideful one. do you all think he will step back on the "large force" they're implementing right now? nope. you all can see that he is eager to pull the trigger. both sides are taunting each other. because they all know that whoever strike first, will be on the wrong side. let me tell you one thing, one small mistake on those "alliance" on on NK's side, NK will go crazy and the rest will be history.

im not siding any one of them. im just against the playstyle of US using smaller countries to provoke whoever oppose him.

its power trippin using the justice he calling "unity"

Japan and Korea are blind and do not know the great damage that this alliance can do to them..

America and Japan have close ties that a third country cannot damage.
