just-a-biggy -- you beat me to it. This sentence defines the Japanese elected officials to a T. That along with the fact that Ozawa inherited his seat from his father. The Japanese are a perfect example of the saying that people get the government they deserve. And this dysfunctional situation is going to bring Japan down.

Ozawa is an unpopular figure among public, many of whom see him with playing politics, rather than executing policies. Did that was the true colours of 'japanese politic'? This is the game and the games playing the public!

“Blueprint for a New Japan,” a conservative work he called for a military on a par with Japan’s economic might Was that feasible 20 years after his book has printed?

philsandoz, it is the old joke that the big ones float to the top. For me this guy gives me the creeps.

Surely Japanese politics must be the one world where the slime rises to the top? Just look at the photo -- would you buy a used car from that man?

Can't believe it. Oh wait, this is Japan. It is entirely believable. You all realize what this means, don't you? We may be looking at the next Prime Minister... (Rolls eyes)

Unfortunately, the Shogun mentality of years (centuries) ago is still prevalent and doesn't allow Japan to conquer the problems that the 21st century brings...
