I think Japan should try harder.

s amazing how we always see him traveling from one country to another while foreigners are generally not welcome to enter Japan due to its unreasonable restrictions.

Exactly!!

what does japan have to offer for people to invest in?

tax payer olympic money?

abenomasks?

non opened boarders

The lack of corona free foreigners but loaded with corona filled Japanese?

Exactly! The audacity of the J gov to call on the outside world to invest in Japan when Japan itself has shown itself to be nothing more than a hermit nation and closed to the outside. And they want foreign investment?? They are dreaming.

Not to dig up dirt but however since the end of the war Japan has undeniably proven to be incapable of being a world leader without the USA constantly telling the Japanese government what to do.

That's not leadership !

It's following !

well said!

Our inspiring PM showing his people that restrictive face masks are a thing of the past.

Dont use peoples money just to enjoy your travel or vacation and using United Nations name. Have pity in your country. The people paid too much for their tax so they have to work 3 job to support their family. You need to support your own country problem first before anything else! Japan first before others.

I wish him well. The world can benefit from Japan’s leadership.

Some said that the PM of Japan, one of the great countries, is not taken seriously in Europe. I don’t believe that and what would it matter? Europe has its own self-inflicted wounds to heal.

Kishida is also considering giving a speech at the New York Stock Exchange, according to the officials. He is expected to call for investment in Japan.

i hope they stream this one. Should be for some good laughs.

The war in Ukraine has revealed the dysfunction at the U.N. Security Council. Russia vetoed a U.S.-led draft resolution condemning the invasion, with China abstaining from voting.

Kishida will call for reinforcing the roles of the 193-member United Nations and reforming the 15-seat council, Japanese officials said.

Japan will replace the war-criminal Russia for a permanent seat at the UNSC.

Elephant200 your comparison of the Russian war in Ukraine to The US assault on Iraq doesn't hold up. Japan is right to call on a rules-based international order in this sensitive moment. It's a deft, unifying call that promotes peace.

Iraq didn't have any nuclear reactors for the US to attack -- nor would the US have done so. Attacking Iraq wouldn't precipitate a nuclear war. On the use of torture, unfortunately the US did so in Iraq, and it is unforgivable, just as Russian use of torture against Ukrainians is unforgivable now. We can go further down in the weeds, but this Russian War in Ukraine is substantially different from the US invasion of Iraq.

Bush, Cheney, Blair these people violated the rule based world first. Remember the Spring of 2003, what happened to Iraq and what did the United Nations called for?

Rule based world? Yes, when your game is overwhelmed by someone!

Then try to announcement something big enough to stop Yen from falling

Rules based on the G7 with their multiple and selectable moral standards bias the things favourable for them? Do they represents all the 158 countries around the world?

so did he cleaned up debris after typhoon as this was a "reason" for his delay?

A nice little trip away, no mask and using taxpayers money.

No wonder his approval ratings are dropping here in Japan.

Kishida and wife, once again off polluting and wasting tax money again…

What - no masks?

When a Japanese prime minister delivers a speech at the U.N. General Assembly, delegates from other countries often stand up and leave for a coffee break, leaving the PM speaking to empty seats.

That photo has approval ratings written all over it.

Bon voyage!

To monitor damage?

Mr Kishida is an irresponsible man. He seems to spend more time visiting other nations with his mask off, in my opinion.

Certainly he isn't taken seriously here in Europe.
