Very glad that this release is all going to plan. Japan has handled everything in a very responsible manner: full assessment by the IAEA; ongoing, independent monitoring/analysis by the IAEA; and full transparency.
But I'm sure the usual pro-CCP lot will be on here soon to push their already-discredited propaganda.

Well if kishida says all is good , why even bother to raise any doubts !

Oh wow seems Kishida's in the mood for some sashimi.
Anyway has tepco resumed testing the wastewater before dilution?
And does iaea monitors it or conducting its own?
I would imagine those would be among the least of what China would point out in their talks with Japan

What I'm concerned is how local fishermen feel about it. Kishida might have broken the promise?

Meantime 25 tons of radioactive water leaked from No.2 fuel rod cooling pool.

Your link says "外部への流出はなく、核燃料の冷却にも問題はない" so it didn't even leak out of the building, and appears not to be a problem.
I searched for more information and the first hits I got were Pravda, CGTN, and "world-energy.org" (Chinese, I believe). These are, needless to say, not very trustworthy sources.

I saw photos on NHK with the building knee-deep in water, but much had also gone down the drains into the basement.

Did you watch the NHK video?
I did not know that other (foreign) news sources had taken this up, but I was surprised that JT has not mentioned it.
