This is seriously starting to look just like the scenario we had in 2009 with Aso Taro as Prime Minister. He was just as unpopular, if not more than Kishida Fumio. LDP lost many seats in regional by-elections of 2009, and he was forced to call a snap election by the LDP-party to prove his mandate.

The elction of 2009 saw the LDP losing desicively, the biggest loss of any ruling party in the history of Japan.

This is seriously starting to look just like the scenario we had in 2009 with Aso Taro as Prime Minister.

There is one big difference unfortunately. The DPJ could fund enough candidates to challenge the LDP in every constituency. The CDPJ can't.
