Aomori Prefecture's Hachinohe city council member Yuri Fujikawa, 29, who recently made headlines for being "a beautiful politician," recently took part in an event in Tokyo to promote the upcoming film "State of Play." This was reportedly the councilwoman's first time to attend a movie event, and the constant flash of countless cameras was a little much for her.
Fujikawa laughed bashfully, "I think I'm about to get a nosebleed." Last month, Fujikawa was voted "World's Most Beautiful Politician" in an online survey held by Spanish newspaper 20 Minutos. The councilwoman was flattered but says she has had enough, telling reporters, "I'd really like to be finished with this whole 'too beautiful' thing already."
Based on a 6-part BBC miniseries, "State of Play" is an American political thriller centering around a newspaper reporter (Russell Crowe) investigating a scandal involving the death of a congressman's mistress and two murders.
Reporters, however, weren't interested in asking Fujikawa about the plot. Instead, they wanted to know what she thought about the sudden marriage of Hitoshi Matsumoto.
Fujikawa replied, "I'd like to find the perfect man and do the same thing myself."© Wire reports
