Japan must express 'deep' concerns and re-impose sanctions.

Why. Everybody tests missiles. Back in november 2013 USA tested an ICBM.

The arms war is ridiculous.
These exercises make Japan, the USA, and the two Koreas equally childish.
Time to quit playing Cowboys and Indians and sit down and work things out.

With North Korea? Really!?

Some14some: do that and kiss the last chance at getting any surviving abductees goodbye.

" do that and kiss the last chance at getting any surviving abductees goodbye."
It is never going to happen to begin with. North Korea has played this crap continually to get what they want and it never materialized, so impose sanctions. People who think North Korea has any intention of keeping their word sure has not been paying attention to how the cycle works.
North Korea makes a commitment to get sanctions cut. Sanctions get cut. Then North Korea acts aggressive again. Sanctions get reimposed. North Korea makes a commitment to get sanctions cut ...
It is time to quit playing footsy with these criminals.

Japan must express 'deep' concerns and re-impose sanctions. and you may as well forget about those abducted Japanese as well. NK got Japan by the gonads on this. this is what happens when you go ahead with negotiations unilaterally

daydreaming? over 58% 'Japanese' do not believe abductees issue will be solved, according to recent poll (source: KTV)

It's Japan's fault.

Ah, simplistic metaphors - the bastion of the ignorant and the guilty accused. The fact that they cannot draw (or don't) a connection between this and their treatment of their citizens and of neighbours shows them to be obtuse or impudent.

North Korea's way of playing brinkmanship.

some14some: regardless, look at all the stories of those clinging to hope of finding loved ones, the attention and sympathy it gets, and how hard Abe and Co. Are pressing for it to increase their political points. They scuttle that by imposing restrictions they just lifted an they can kiss all that goodbye, with the Yokotas and others expressing their disappointment in the government--and many others following. Whether or not we'll ever see any more abductees (not saying the issue will be resolved, but we could see more people alive in NK), who knows? But we know we won't if Japan imposes more sanctions, and that would cause a backlash the government doesn't want just when their approval rating plummets over the Article 9 changes.

In countries like North Korea drills have opposite effect.
bass4funk
Tell that to the North.
Again, tell the North to come to their senses (which I guarantee they will NOT)
So, the US and Japan shouldn't practice and ready themselves for any possible attack, let your enemies hold drills and the US and Japan should not test or harness their skills, just sit back, relax drink Mojitos and let the North Koreans get themselves ready for a possible attack?
And what do you mean, sit down and work things out. We've been down this boring road before! You can never work things out with the North and when you do, it's always good for a few days and then it falls to....once again and again and again. It's this constant came that the North plays every single day. You can't trust them and both Japan and the US shouldn't take a chance.

Japan should start building nukes and shoot them into the Yellow Sea. Got to have big guns to threaten China and NK if the want to see results.
