Meh, it's been reported months ago as well but this time the Japanese media picked it up so NK has to pitch a hissy fit. Some things never change.
JoshuYaki
They deliberately (Asahi) stuck a finger in the eye of someone they perceive as an enemy. Sending peace talks and any possibility of finding the remains of the kidnaped Japanese citizens to impossibility.
The choice of bitter old men shame on them. Who cares about his wife? What does it have to do with anything?
tokyobakayaro
Was there any peace talk in the making before this report? Was NK about to free some abducted japanese? Of course not.

Unfortunately, N.Korean peoples do not have enough information to think straight, and N.Korean mafia ruling gangs do not think the way we do; their survival come first at all cost. Shame to them as they are craving for status and dignity.

Methinks thou doth protest too much.

Sanctioning murder - while an unproven and likely unprovable allegation - is not just media gossip...it's a tyrannical crime worthy of pursuit..

oh man, it's so bad when you live in a locked up country, where the state has this control and power over its people, and where any tiny dissent costs you your life. those NK-gov murderers must one day pay, it's unbelievable that there's no end in view to such state terrorism.

More of the story was available in western newspapers a couple of weeks ago including that they were executed in front of their families and then the families were all moved off to prison camps. Very sad and if true why aren't Western countries and the UN taking a stance?

North Korea always fumes at everything....there is nothing new. That is their favorite past time. They will even fume at my post now!
Alphaape
Well if he didn't have them killed, they have enough blood on their hands anyway. What about the nameless people who have been marched off to the gulags that we don't know about.
Serrano
"Asahi said the rare execution of state performers, including a singer rumored to be Kim’s ex-girlfriend, had been ordered "
It's definitely risky to be an ex-girlfriend of lil' Kim.
Stewie
And this toad has girlfriends ?. Yuk. Must be some desperate or blind females in NK.
Kabukilover
I will need more information before I buy into the executions story, but if it is true I will not be surprised, North Korea being what it is. I believe with out question the stories of the performers' sex lives. Artists are the same everywhere, even in the most repressive places. The fat boy's wife ought to lighten him up.

This guy reminds me of Pillsbury's "Doughboy".

Some people (and some countries) are just not happy unless they have something to be miserable about. And NK is just about the most miserable "country" in Asia.
Tiger_In_The_Hermitage
Thats low, yes the guy is a nutter but don't talk about his wife..... leave the family out of the politics.

Kills my chance to see "Excellent Horse-Like Lady" live.

Adultery is, by the way, still a crime in South Korea, and a topic often raised in K-dramas. In North Korea it would therefore be a firing squad offense.

You should maybe google "dictatorship".

Kim-Jong Cartman, "Respect my authority!"

If these people are still alive, North Korea should show them to the world ... and let them tell their side of the story.
If they are indeed dead, well, that's that.
genjuro
Only that if you poke him you'll be shot at.
presto345
Meaning more executions?
If the North Koreans are so riled by the reporting why not show some proof to the contrary? That would earn more respect than empty threats.
Vernie Jefferies
Somebody better call Dennis Rodman and warn him not to touch the First Lady.
Scrote
I expect you'll find that those people weren't executed at all, but died in various car accidents.

They wil shoot his missus next for brining the Kim name into disrepute.
SecularBeast
Well, to clear up any misunderstandings, Dear Leader Kim should ask the members of the Unhasu Orchestra (with which Kim's wife was a singer) and the Wangjaesan Art Troupe to speak to the media and rebut these libelous claims against him and his wife. No? They can't because they've all been executed?
There's only one bunch of 'reptiles' in this story, and they're running the DPRK.

There is not enough information to tell whether this was an extreme act of snobbery or defense of virtue. Mrs. Sol-Ju's wearing designer clothes and accessories in a poverty stricken country points probability towards snobbery, but then the improbable lines up on occasion too. If Mr. Jong-Un did not carefully look into the matter before hand, then his leadership ability would have to be seriously called into question as would the stability of North Korea to some degree.

Actually who the hell cares what the son of Monchichi thinks, the guy is living the life of a king while his serfs die all around.
The line "It's good to be the king." comes to mind whenever this leech and his ilk raise their heads.
