N Korea launches 2 missiles toward sea AFTER U.S.-S Korea drills.

You have drills to attack us and we will show you that all your bases in Japan are well within reach.

it is the will of Japan and US to provoke NK.

the strategy is to increase Japanese military spending.JGOV is very happy about that!

as you can see the article information is not from NK, it is just a groundless allegation of brainwashing and propaganda. Japanese are experts to put words in other people's mouths.

Why even do this? If it's for intimidation, it doesn't seem to work. Do they realize how ** they'd be if the thrusters on the missile failed mid-flight and it fell on Japanese soil? I just don't get the motivation.

The AvengerToday  07:31 am JST

do you have evidence that NK fired a missile???

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Why even do this?

I think the idea is to take the focus off of Russia, DPRK's new best friend.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

I wonder if Fatso's little buddy Putin asked him to do him a solid to help draw attention away from his amateur night performance in Eastern Europe.

Endless anti-Japan tough talk.

If one of these missiles ever reached Japanese land, Pyongyang and it's suburbs would be levelled. The world would be a much better place.

The reason Japan, SK and the US will continue having drills is due to NKs warlike behaviour.

it is the will of Japan and US to provoke NK.

How so?

the strategy is to increase Japanese military spending.JGOV is very happy about that!

And then?

as you can see the article information is not from NK, it is just a groundless allegation of brainwashing and propaganda.

Something that the Kim dynasty has mastered over the years

Japanese are experts to put words in other people's mouths.

But Japan didn’t launch a dangerous missile towards NK, they did it first. North Korea has ballistic missiles and a million man infantry, but that’s about it, if Kim wants to go there his country would be leveled to the ground. With the combined might and fury of the US military machine and the Japanese military SDF and some of their impressive hardware, that country wouldn’t stand a chance.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

So who continually threatens World peace, North Korea or the rogue state of the USA?

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

Fighto...

If one of these missiles ever reached Japanese land, Pyongyang and it's suburbs would be levelled. The world would be a much better place.

The reason NK hasn't been "regime changed" is because Seoul and all the US bases in South Korea along with millions of innocence civilians in the south would cease to exist.

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

Let's not be naive !

That’s why I made that statement.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

As it is the US who dropped tons of bombs on North Korea during the Korean War, killing about 20% of the population, you're naive if you don't think the North won't develop their weapons and respond with test firings to US war game exercises.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Another boring attention seeking waste of money.

Many normal people in North Korea are struggling to put food on their table, yet this idiot wastes millions of pounds just to seek attention.

Saddam Hussein attempted a similar path with his biological warfare boast, and we know how pathetic that ended .

Korea is the same, trying to be the big dictator, they probably dont even own one nuclear missile.

Please dont make him into some kind of a scary dictator by reporting on this crap, he will be enjoying every minute of the attention, like a fat boy bully in the playground.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

NK do not have the capacity,to hit the US , anybody can launch missile, but you have to have a guidance and navigation system, which NK lack

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

I think the US should charge 5 billion dollars, insurance policy to countries to , be under US nuclear shield,I am covered by policy by being in America

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

*Do they realize how ** they'd be if the thrusters on the missile failed mid-flight and it fell on Japanese soil?*

funny you mention that. US and SK fired 5 missiles the other day, and malfunctioned Amos crashed right near a village in SK, almost killing people.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

The North Korean people are hungry, lil Kim is desperate, and winter is coming. These are just outbursts for some attention. lil Kim's biggest fear is always regime change. Fat boy and his even stranger sister are hanging on by a thread. If the people nor longer fear and revere his family, a military coup would mean certain death for the entire family.

SK and the US should ignore as usual until they actually harm someone then they should respond appropriately. Until that time comes, they should let China and Russia send aid to them.

Are they not "bosom buddies"?

3 ( +8 / -5 )

Fightoo, the President would have to consult with the Congress,to launch a nuclear strike, the US military has to consult with the civilians leadership

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Wa,you should not worry about US policy toward our potential adversaries, and worry about your own survival, without the benefits of the American public

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

You have your exercises, they feel threatened, they fire their missiles, you feel threatened. No one is the good guy here, no matter how you want to present your story.

Solutions? Perhaps, a change of decision makers on both sides?? Someone who can see the big picture? Someone who can see, clearly see about being USED.

Dear Leader Kim is playing a dangerous game that will back fire on him.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

There aren’t any winners in war.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

South Korea demonstrated why weapons tests are necessary.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

US military cant effectively stop a nuclear strike on Japan or south korea

They can. It is called Mutually Assured Destruction, MAD. If DPRK used nuclear weapons on ROK or Japan the US would cream them. DPRK would cease to exist. Crude, yes, but MAD has kept the peace since 1945.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

isn't Mr. Kim wasting an awfully lot of money with these meaningless shows of force?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

What a pathetic and childish geopolitical game, provoking each other and wasting the people's money...

If one of these missiles ever reached Japanese land, Pyongyang and it's suburbs would be levelled. The world would be a much better place.

According to your "mature" logic, destroying a city full of innocent people would make the world a better place..

Bravo!!!..

No, the credible threat that you could level an adversaries cities if they chose to use nuclear weapons on yours is what keeps those adversaries from using their nuclear weapons. it is called deterrence and it works. If you are the adversary, a DPRK or similar, you are not going to take a chance of losing everything to prove your point. No war, no nuclear winter. Everyone goes home to their families.

Are carriers invulnerable to missile attacks if they were nuclear powered? So, what's the meaning of repeated deployment in exercises of the Ronald Reagan?

Seems the message of deploying a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier hasn’t reached North Korea and made it dither.

No ship is unsinkable, but I can tell you an awful lot of hard work went into the Nimitz class to allow them to take a lot of hits including torpedo hits and not sink. What works against an enemy trying to sink one are the combat jets that carrier brings with it, an air force that is larger than the air forces of a good many small to medium sized nations, The escorting destroyers and cruiser will force an enemy to fly through a buzz saw of different missiles just to get to the point where they are within range to launch theirs. You keep grinding down the attack force through successive layers of missile defenses and the fight the air wing will put up, leaving few missiles to shoot at the ships in the strike group. ECM will divert a lot of these and point defense systems like RAM and CIWS will claim even more. A couple of missile hits are not going to sink something the size of a Nimitz class with it's automated fire fighting systems that can put out a flight deck fire in about a minute, a fact proven by two big mishaps that resulted in major flight deck fires that were successfully extinguished, both times on USS Nimitz and one of which I recall as it happened on our deployment. So, no, not unsinkable, but very very hard to sink. Look at how much ordnance it took to sink Yorktown and Hornet, and those were 1/5 the displacement of a Nimitz. A carrier's hull has a lot of features designed to limit flooding and huge pumps that can de-water the ship rapidly after taking hits. Also Google up "Operation Sailor Hat" to see some videos of testing the US Navy did with massive mounds of conventional explosives that created nuclear like shock waves in order to test designs and harden their ships against nuclear explosions.
