Yea, that's right! Japan needs China more than ever. >=D

It is not a need; it is a common interest. Good to see the two nations working together on this issue.

Nobody "needs" China. Except for North Korea. China "needs" everyone else unless it wants to be a backwards economy again.

NK or Panda will not hide Noda's true intentions of getting economic cooperation from China, that's the main purpose of his visit to Asia's Dragon Economy.

During the last lunar new year season, Chinese tourists spent the money like no more tomorrows. Street vendors, fashion stores and electronic dealers enjoyed the highest sale in their life time. Shijuku station was crowded with mainland tourists. Ginza got more excitement from high volume of shoppers. Even one small fruits vendor could not meet the high demand from Chinese tourists.

Japan economy has matured like old lady. Domestic demand has peaked. Currently major customers of US and Europe are struggling with major debt crisis and high unemployment. Without the China demand, Japan GDP will shrink more and unemployment will be sky rocketed.

China is a huge and explosive market. It is irresistible for Japanese business.

No-da the moron should be telling Wen that we will be boycotting ALL China's goods and enforcing trade embargo, as well as withdrawing EVERY japanese factory from china. Instead, th - until chinas boats stop invading the nation. Instead, this clown DPJ politician (all DPJ are traitors) wants to talk about a stupid Panda. Bring back LDP!!!

Noooo, Kentaro, you've got your priorities all wrong! The panda should be top of the agenda. It's all about pandas. Isn't Kim Jon-Un part descended from a panda?

Millions of Japanese lost thier job when many of the factories moved to China. And Japan lost the jobs and tech. The sales in Giza mostly is European made goods not made in Japan. Comparing the jobs and exports loss of Japan the Chinese tourist to buy western goods in japan is nothing like a 1 yen to 100 million yen... We can not say this is an economic support to Japan. Soon Japanese peoples reserve will finish and they will be in big debt and the breake down of this country will start. The begining of the end of Japan... after 2013 we will see the beginning..... Sorry to see this tragedy...

The Only solution to stop the breakdown of Japan is support the Unification of NK and the South Korea... A Unified Korea will bring lots of business and other opportunities to Japan. Invest now for the unification of Korea then Japan will survive....

This headline...with it ending with "pandas" gives me a bad image of some strange japanese commercials. lol I know the topic is serious but ending with panda kinda takes away the seriousness lol maybe say it first. End with N Korea and I think it would be a more powerful headline.

@Kentaro75. Have you gone mad? That would worsen the situation for the world economy.

we all made them so rich by importing and patronizing their cheap products. We even teach them how to make and compete with Japan's produced and products by putting some if not all industrial companies in China.

China did not point the Guns to Japanese business to invest in their land. According the Reganomic theory, market & capital can not be restricted. Government does not need to interfere the business decision. Trade can be flowed as wind to every direction. Firstly, Manufacturing goods in China is more profitable for Japanese companies. Staying on the business, companies need to be competitive. Japanese Government will get more tax revenue from them. Secondly, Japanese consumers can afford to buy the products with cheaper price. For example, Toshiba Laptop assembled in China will be many times cheaper than made in Japan. Thirdly, China population and land is very huge for Japanese high end exports such as micro chips. Fourthly Chinese tourists, students and huge domestic markets are contributing Japanese economy.

That article is not related to political, historical, territory and natural resources issues. As neighbors, Japan has many sensitive and outstanding issues with many nations not only China but also Russia, Korea and Some southeast Asian nations. It does not mean Japan has to stop doing trade and business with all of them. The motive of business is purely commercial and wining the market share. There will be winners and losers. When China economy has developed and matured like Japan and US, they will lose many business to low cost nations too. Boom will not last long. There will be burst will come. However China and India can sustain their economy longer than others because of their size and population.

It is time for China to awaken from this illusion that is a superior Power, as this is the Year china’s people will crush its own corrupt government, china only grew because of the trade between the US and China, except now it is Buy America and is spreading like a wild fire, soon that 70 to 80% of all goods made in china bought in America, will be down to less then 10% and china will crumble like a person slamming the door when a person is cooking a cake, China’s time is over and all the Islands China is claming in the West Philippines sea and the Japanese Sea, and other’s will belong to their true owners, and that is not China, Chinas time is over for their refusal to restrain North Korea, and all the Lives lost because of their refusal, the United States and other countries will not stand for Destabilization in Asia. The time for china is about over it cannot continue to float its economy, and show an illusion that China is doing good, to many Jobs have been lost and to much property too, China just makes it appear like an illusion that all is fine!

joseph, China's development was/is/will be no illusion. You must either live in another planet or day dreaming. Wish is wish but reality is hurting. China will go ahead and became a strong and prosperous country.

Watch the great leader on NHK. English translation is good too. This guy might do something important.

THE PAST IS PAST AND WE ARE NOW FACING THE FUTURE. We should all try to get along and help each other. Prosperity can only be realized when we work together. China and Japan can and shouyld set the meter - show respect for each other and the rest of us will follow naturally. Noda is new, but he is doing well and we will get more from him if we don't go overboard by being too critical. Pat him on the back and watch him beam. His selection of the Panda route was like turning on the light. I look forward to seeing Noda and Hu arm in arm.
