"N Korea fires ICBM missile that lands in Japan's EEZ"

The idea that Japan can claim what on a map looks like almost HALF of the Western Pacific as its 'exclusive' province and assume international slight at the least disturbance when it comes from a political target but ignore it when 'others' completely violate it seems infantile. It also contradicts in some measure the U.S.'s hysterical reaction to China building bases in and near its own EEZ. Watching the politicians look, search, for reason to bring fear to the average unthinking mind of their herd is like watching 7-year-old innate psychopaths at play with normal children...

Even just a balloon Japan can not handle it, for things that North Korea sends on regular base. It just make noise around Japanese media and politics but nothing really done about it.

smh, William, stop… just stop…; NK is provoking Japan, SK, the US and the world…; the safety of millions of people is in jeopardy because of NK’s stupid little games…; let’s focus on that…;

but

let me just say something: Kim Jong Un is playing with fire.

Yawn

The exclusive economic zone only recognizes the economic, scientific and environmental jurisdiction of the coastal countries and entry of a foreign fishing vessel into the EEZ is not automatically illegal.

so the test missile was not economic, scientific or an environmental danger.

“ capable of hitting anywhere on the mainland United States.”

That means so much for the US nuclear deterrence against North Korea.

Japan needs to get more belligerent against these risks. I would include an official warning to North Korea and then shooting down any incoming missiles.

Fatty, you're playing with fire...

Keep on firing them, the more the better, what little kim don't realize!!!!? is that with every firing more data and intel is collected, analyzed and saved.

Knowing your enemy capabilities is the best weapon of war.

Someone needs to take out Fatboy Kim.

Despicable behaviour from Little Rocket Man.

If he does this again, it's just a matter of time before a US/Japan coalition responds - with 10 times the force.

You live by the sword, you die by the sword.

North Korea has an exclusive economic zone, about the same size as its land. Looking at the map above, that looks to be in NK:s economic zone, maybe a bit close to SK:s EEZ. Though, the location indicated on that map is definitely not Japan:s EEZ. Either the map above is wrong, or Japan is making bold claims.
