Well, what do you expect? There always has to be some kind of propaganda against their favorite whipping boy Abe, sorry, Japan!

Notice how even they had to go so far back (before the Kim Regime, and Mao's dictatorship) that their governments as they are now didn't even exist! Imperial Japanese rule doesn't exist in the now, and Japan is admired much more around the globe than both NK and China put together. It's sad, because China's rich history and culture are being squandered by the CCP which deems fit to support NK's failure of a "leader".

Little Kim meeting his boss.

Persecution of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners, repression of Tibet, forced excision of organs and their trade, the list of examples is endless. China argues that it is a domestic affairs interference when we blame these. The act of commenting on Japan's history is domestic policy interference with Japan. China has lots of nerve. I'm not going to correct repeated mistakes anymore.
North Korean pigs are screaming under the influence of economic sanctions. Japan and the United States need to look quietly. "If you take action quickly, you will not get good results." This is the most important thing, after all.

And then you realize that Japan's history is inextricably intertwined with both Korea's and China's history. The brutalizations of Korea and China by Japan directly led to the rise of the Kim dynasty and communism in China.
Hilarious to read all the comments trying to somehow unlink the Japanese rape of China and Korea from China's and both Korea's current state. That's akin to attempting to decouple Japan's current state of affair from the US'.

They are both so much fatter than their typical countryman.

It's remarkable how the current state of affairs in North East Asia is presented as existing in a vacuum, totally divorced from the historical realities that led to it.

What else is new? North Korea playing the history card just like their fellow Koreans in the North. Of course , China ruled over the Koreans for centuries, something the Koreans both North and South are forgetting.

@Alfie Noakes
Good to see someone who appreciates American humour. Bruce Cumings is a famous revisionist historian most known for his claim that the US started the Korean War.

In your skewed historical recognition, it seems that Soviet did not exist at all

So no reference to blood alliance at Korean War any longer to strengthen ties? Yeah I know what this piggy faced fat man thinking in his mind.

That might change after a few more years of Nippon Kaigi and its LDP acolytes calling the shots.

Can’t define “living in the past” any better than that headline.
Or is it, living for revenge now? Because thats very dangerous.

Have they discussed their own gulags yet?

Laughable. admit what? any apologies made even for once? regardless sincere or not.

Alfie what happened to your lengthy historically accurate comment? It's strange how most people think by denying the facts, they'll magically disappear!! Weird.

Talked with a chinese friend the other day, he didn't know about the tiananmen square massacre in 1989 and thought a lot of rumours regarding the chinese were made up. I made a prediction to him that the current dictator won't leave power unless there is a revolution or assassination and that we'll see 10 years later how it turned out.

I actually think China’s doing the right thing, focusing on developing technology and the BRI rather than remembering the past. Kim is indeed a small man.

This is a very wise partnership. Common grounds.

interesting, shouldn't they be celebrating the 'blood alliance' against the USA which is what China want now?
commanteer
Yes, I think that was a bit of a slip by Kim. As long as China is engaged in conflict with the US they would probably rather not stir things up with Japan as well.

The history of how Imperial Japan treated the people it tried to conquer will haunt foreign relations for a long time.
