Personally, (I said this yesterday) I'm less concerned with their name and more about what they stand for. I think all the concern about their name is a smoke screen to offset ANY meaningful dialogue regarding the way in which Japan is heading. If they unveil a truly progressive agenda with a coherent economic policy they will win. If they are smart, they will deflect any discussion about their name and why they chose it and just focus on the important issues.

They don't know what they stand for, and wasted their time trying to figure out what they should call themselves.

"analysts warn the the rebranding could more harm than good" analysts, how many time do you see this word the media. Analysts seem to cause more problems than solve them and nobody ever seems to challenge their judgement. Here is another one "Experts said relabeling could be a strategic mistake" :experts" and "could" in the same sentence, does that mean the so called experts are not sure ? The DPJ needed to do something, they certainly weren't a challenge to the LDP, so what Minshinto needs now is a voice, a political agenda,policies that the public can relate too, and most of all the use of the media, including all forms of social media to reach out to the young people who are now being able to vote.

I wonder how much time they wasted in this name change. It raises questions in to who actually funds these parties
