Look after your own country first.

Increasing numbers living below the poverty line, a rapidly increasing elderly population, a broken pension system, deteriorating infrastructure, workforces issues, the list goes on...

They wouldn't know where to start with any of that but they're not really interested anyway. The LDP brilliantly illustrates the adage from 1984 that the objective of power is more power.

Kishida says....

....reading (listening) stops

Promises made...

His promise to increase wages is a typical "carrot on the stick" way to influence voters into re-electing his party, similar to a bribe, only absent of actual cash. the rest of his promises hold just as much substance.

So, what is your diplomatic direction and plan? I’ll believe it when I see it.

But Kashima can't even do his job, correctly.

What gives?

Let's written what he said right now and check what he can achieved until the midnight of 31th December 2024!

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida vowed Monday to put Japan at the forefront of global affairs..................Oh yippee!! The world must be feeling so relieved just now. But on the bright side, he and his many many staff must looking forward to trips all around the world, staying in the very best hotels and eating expensive foods, but of course, accomplishing nothing.

He has been boasting for quite alot if things

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

nobody asked Kishida to make more mess with other countries.

he just wants to run away from his party's corruption!!

"The leaders in Japan are located on the territory of the island of Okinawa. Japan's problems come from there. To become a leader, you must first be independent of the United States

I would be laughing out loud at what this clown has to say if the situation weren't so serious.

The ONLY diplomacy we expect for Japan to lead in pertains almost exclusively to anime and vidya.

The hipocrasy of the Japanese (LDP) lol! politicians knows no bounds (along with the governments of other G8 countries.) Two diametrically opposed statements, in my book; the first means 'peaceful', the second double-speak for 'violence'. Japan has moved from relative pacifism to full blown offensive militarism, under the noses of an apathetic electorate.

( said he will exert leadership "unique to Japan" through summit diplomacy to "overcome challenges," citing issues such as Russia's war on Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas conflict. )

( "We will decisively protect the people's safety and Japan's territory, water and airspace in the complicated security environment in East Asia," said Kishida )

The number one concern of the G8 (bourgeoisie ) is to protect their wealth and sources of such wealth, at any cost. Politeriat democracy, human rights be damned.

Analogy: The officers in charge of this 'ship' we are all travelling on are blinded by their greed and self worth and we're on on collison course with an iceberg that will sink us.

What kind of leadership means to be the Asia's lapdog of US???..

Wake up Japan!!..

Liberate yourself!!!..

Samurais would roll in their graves by watching your actual condition..

Nordic: "As sorry as I am to have to say this, because I take no joy in seeming purposely unkind, but no one - outside Japan - looks upon this nation as a diplomatic “leader” in any form, function, or fashion."

I could not have said it better myself.

I don't even think Kishida himself believes what he's saying this time. But hey, back to choosing new leaders at home for the party after the others resigned in disgrace with the issues all still unresolved.

Nordic’s comment got a downvote more than once. Huh? Spot on I might say!

-14 ( +3 / -17 )

No. He's got a domestic disaster to deal with now. Try to show some leadership. Tough ask I realise.

15 ( +19 / -4 )

Japan is not a "leader" like the superpowers. But it has econmoic power and a diplomatic posture that allows it to reach out to countries that are even adversarial to the US, UK, EU.

As sorry as I am to have to say this, because I take no joy in seeming purposely unkind, but no one - outside Japan - looks upon this nation as a diplomatic “leader” in any form, function, or fashion.

-6 ( +21 / -27 )

The world expects Japan to be a soft touch not a leader.

-10 ( +9 / -19 )

Some people have absosultely no convictions and are unwilling to make any effort to keep the freedoms that they now enjoy, Pitiful really.

""In his New Year's address, Kishida, who puts intense focus on diplomacy with other world leaders, said he will exert leadership "unique to Japan" through summit diplomacy to "overcome challenges," citing issues such as Russia's war on Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas conflict.""

SEEK PEACE and you will find it, NEVER take sides in any conflicts as we do not know what the outcome would be.
