Nobody cares what russia says.

Fancy Russia blaming Kyiv for attacking their territory with drones. Well, what a shame that is. Just what has your arsenal of drones being doing the last 13 months?

6 ( +14 / -8 )

America would not be here if Russia, North Korea, and China were not so Dictatorial.

You all brought us to your backdoor.

Hello!

1 ( +12 / -11 )

The art of negotiation

1) Purchase and ship 1 million artillery shells to Ukraine.

2) Threaten to ship 1 million artillery shells to Ukraine every 6 month until the missiles are removed from the Kurils.

3) Japan has nothing to lose. If Russia keeps the missiles, then Japan comes out looking like a hero in the West. If Russia removes, then Japan wins.

2 ( +10 / -8 )

The Kuril islands are clearly Russian territory and the Russian government has every right to protect its territory from the war mongering USA.

-8 ( +8 / -16 )

I believe the Russian War against Ukraine = War Mongering.

But maybe you are right.

Maybe it's America in the Kremlin?

You maybe onto something.

People who wholeheartedly believe in accelerationism are the most irresponsible revolutionaries and deconstructionists. They are eager to change the status quo, but they have not thought about what kind of path to choose after changing the status quo.

Problem is easily solved. Remove all US bases from Japanese sovereign territory. We are occupied the same was Iraq and Syria is.

'US efforts to contain Russia (and China)'

Oh crad, Vlad. Stop your gaslighting and your BS whining this very minute! After your invasion of the Ukraine on phony pretenses now you're accusing the USA and/or Japan of 'containment', possibly aggression.

It's very obvious to all what you're doing and we are sick of all your lies and excuses. Vladmir Putin, quit all your moaning and bellyaching. Nobody is buying your story. This mess and the disastrous (for you) quagmire of the Ukraine war is all your creation and doing. All your fault.

You'd better shut-it-up and shut it up NOW.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Well Japan, you had your chance to take the Northern Territories.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

It must be fake news that Xi and Putin were proposing a peace plan whereas the US rejected any notion of talks?

That is why Russia is adding to defensive positions

So putting forward a crap plan, not following it, and then arming against a third country not involved all logically follow in your mind?

Yes, and they should do this before the US turns Japan into the next Ukraine.

If you want proof of Russian lies about Ukraine:-

On the Ukraine conflict, Shoigu said Russian aerospace forces had so far destroyed more than 20,000 Ukrainian military facilities since the start of what Moscow calls its "special military operation".

Not even America would have 20,000 military facilities in its country (400 in every state), let alone Ukraine.

Note to Russia. Civilian buildings are not military facilities.

Well done Russia. China fully supporting you. Let us fight for a sacred great patriotic war!

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

the modernization of Moscow's air defense system would be completed this year

This is one reason that this prolonged inaction is a bad idea. If US intended to stop Putin, they should have done it before they had a chance to modernize their military.

I believe the Russian War against Ukraine = War Mongering.

Putin is waging war, Biden is mongering war.

According to Xinhua news:

"Between the end of WWII and 2001, a total of 248 wars erupted, of which more than 200 were launched by the United States. There is no question that the United States is the world's biggest war monger."

(Disclaimer in small print: the source might be slightly biased.)

Well done Russia. China fully supporting you. Let us fight for a sacred great patriotic war!

Taking advantage of cheap prices and screwing Russia for the best deals, not providing much needed arms to Russia, selling good to Russia at inflated prices because they cant get them from anywhere else, yeah a friend like that Russia doesnt need.

But beggars cant be choosers. China will soon move on territory it believes is Chinese but occupied by Russia. That is the real reason China wants Russian forces depleted and unable to resist China.

The war in Ukraine has already depleted much of America and NATO's ammunitions.

Sharing the load and ramping up production means NATO is still fully armed and ready should it be attacked by delusional Russia.

Ya think?

And that’s the problem. If at least some of the politicians had listened, Ukraine wouldn’t be losing a whole generation of young men. The meaningless loss and distraction of lives is not just on Russia.

Why would you listen to a deceitful country like Russia that tells you there won't be an invasion and then the next day says IT'S GO TIME!!!

@Peter: NO! The Chinese helped Russia when the West tighten the gallow over the neck of Russians. It was China keep Russian economy continues growing without jeopardizing.

Who are the "Despicables"? The West!

The "Shock Therapy" advised to Russia in 1990s caused life miserables and economic hardships of innocent people. The Russians saw the true ugly face of the West. That's why they were raged and supporting Putin's war to stop NATO expansion. During this critical time Chinese supreme leader leaned out his arm with the support of Chinese people. Yes, China did not provide weapons to Russia yet because timing is not right. Those dirty things can leave to Iran or North Korea to do. China providing all non lethal materials to enable Russia to continue this war against NATO A friend in need is a brother indeed. Russia is a good brother to China as well, they sold us the energy we needed.

Not just oil, coal or LPG but the most needed enriched uranium as well because China is digging many "Silo Fields" in northern desert..... You will know what those holes mean!

Nazis, elephant, the SMO is about Nazis. That's what Putin told you, how dare you disbelieve him.

Well Japan, you had your chance to take the Northern Territories.

Incorrect. The most Russia(USSR) ever offered was two of the four islands they stole. And the first paragrah of Article 9 of the Constitution prohibits the use of military force to settle territorial disputes, and went into effect on in May 1947. Japan never had any chance to "take" their four stolen islands.

Getting stationed anywhere other than the war front is a boondoggle.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I sure hate to see Japan being dragged into a confrontation with Russia or China, it will be a disaster. Russia or even China will not hesitate at any point to start hostilities with Japan just to Poke the U.S. or possibly drag the U.S. into a war that NO ONE could win nor afford to lose.

PRAY FOR PEACE, SEEK PEACE and it will granted.

Russian credibility, about as worthless as the Russian Ruble

Chair, Defense Select committee Mr. Tobias Ellwood, MP stated on sky News today that "'Ukraine is just the battle, there is a bigger war taking place in Europe' and how important it is for Ukraine to win this war.

Many other sources not attributed to China, and even American sources will back this, along with the us having the most bases around the world. Imagine if russia had missiles in cuba...oh, wait. You needn't imagine. The us didn't stand for it. Luckily, both sides negotiated out of the situation before ww3 happened. And that was just missiles. Now imagine russia (or warsaw pact) had bases on the Canadian and Mexican border. Think the us wouldn't do something? Neither side is innocent in this. Both the us and russia are looking after their own national interests. We need real peacemaking diplomats to solve, not politically appointed "diplomats" that just repeat their respective party line. May peace find us all soon.

So that is why the Muscovite army is dragging antique T55’s out of storage in the Far East, all that’s left to defend its subject colonies! I was going to say the Chinese army wouldn’t worry much, but now Moscow is a resource colony for the CCP they don’t need to waste time invading, they already have the mangy performing bear on a leash.

Japan really needs to take this moment of opportunity to increase pressure on the Muscovite empire and get the illegally held islands back.

Too job Russia let the world know who is the real boss

Russia, where you can't get an iphone or a big mac, but you can get a iBorcht, and BigMacBorcht are the real boss. Mmmkay...

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Imagine if russia had missiles in cuba...oh, wait. You needn't imagine. The us didn't stand for it. Luckily, both sides negotiated out of the situation before ww3 happened. And that was just missiles.

Now learn the whole story: the US was forced to leave Cuba alone more or less after that. This is the model that should be imposed on Russia: it will have to leave Ukraine alone.

Now imagine russia (or warsaw pact) had bases on the Canadian and Mexican border. Think the us wouldn't do something?

There were no NATO bases in Ukraine before the war and their presence in the Baltics was minimal. If Russia wanted friendly neighbors it should have given up the life of thuggery and thievery.

Neither side is innocent in this. Both the us and russia are looking after their own national interests.

One side launched an illegal war of aggression. That should never be forgotten as all new warcrimes it commits flow from it.

We need real peacemaking diplomats to solve, not politically appointed "diplomats" that just repeat their respective party line.

Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine. They don't want to talk to Russia until its borders are secure and nobody in their right mind would.

The "Shock Therapy" advised to Russia in 1990s caused life miserables and economic hardships of innocent people. The Russians saw the true ugly face of the West.

I remember a huge IMF loan to Russia disappeared. It could have gone to Putin like everything else he has stolen from the Russian people as leader.

That's why they were raged and supporting Putin's war to stop NATO expansion.

Ukraine was not anywhere close to being accepted into NATO. Russia has a real problem attacking the defenseless.

During this critical time Chinese supreme leader leaned out his arm with the support of Chinese people. Yes, China did not provide weapons to Russia yet because timing is not right. Those dirty things can leave to Iran or North Korea to do. China providing all non lethal materials to enable Russia to continue this war against NATO

I thought China was the great peacemaker in all this. Does it seriously think Ukraine will listen to one word it says when its military support to Russia is exposed?

Not just oil, coal or LPG but the most needed enriched uranium as well because China is digging many "Silo Fields" in northern desert..... You will know what those holes mean!

They are going to mean a waste of money unless China wants to see Peking in flames as well.

@Awa no Gaijin LOL you can count!!! At least I thought please tell me how many men and how much ammunition Russia has left. Please tell me how many men are going back in body bags that Putin is not telling his people. LOL Russia boosts defenses near Japan; accuses U.S. of expanding Asia-Pacific presence. With what dogs or women thats all they have left!!! Those men with any sense left the country so they are using prisoners. Awa No Gajin they could use one smart fellow like you I think you mindset fits in great with Putins objective why not volunteers you have all the answers.

"To contain Russia and China, the United States is significantly increasing its military presence in the Asia-Pacific region,

Oh how pathetic !

The USA already has 750 bases / lilpads overseas and needs more ?

LMFAO !

Contain Russia and China

Its the USA and UK pipe dream !

The USA so called leverage isn't working to contain Russia and China !

Russia, with a GDP the size of Spain's, continues to talk about building up its military forces. What a waste of money.

Japan, a close U.S. ally, claims the four southern Kuril islands, which were seized by Soviet forces at the end of World War Two. Japan does not claim Paramushir, one of the northern Kuril islands.

And Japan will never get back at least two of those island if keeps being the lap dog of US..

Russian credibility, about as worthless as the Russian Ruble

And the ruble will decrease even more in value as the UN sanctions dig deeper and deeper. Vladimir, you can call this whole disaster off if you truly give a damn about your own people. The Ukraine war is a BUST. It's not the easy victory he hoped it would be.

This worked to end apartheid in South Africa and it was applied to Serbia-Montenegro in the 90's (but NATO had to whip the crap outta them anyway). Still, with the embargos and sanctions and the fact that Russia is conscripting men in their 40s and 50s as well as buying Iranian drones indicates clearly that Putin is getting desperate and running out of options.

It's just a matter of time but he ain't going to win this one.
