Japan has been cool already and would stay cool and quietly ignore hot pan.

The only country that needs to "cool off" is South Korea. How many people need to set themselves on fire? Cutting off fingers and ripping animals apart will be coming up real soon. Hwabyeong on a huge national level.

Well...I'm not sure if this security pact would be worthy since she(SK) is a very friend of North Korea. The possibility of SK gives Japan's information to NK is bigger than SK cooperate with Japan.
The SK president seems to wish his country to be closed to/part of North Korea rather than improving relation with her neighbor Japan.

really? risk with security pact? When you are under suspicion that you are providing materials that can be used for weapons to North Korea, which do you think Japan will think is riskier, selling supplies to a country that may be giving materials to North Korea that continuously fires missiles at their area or not getting information from a country that is known right now to trying to get in the good side of North Korea
Remember the radar incident, what was the use of the lock-on, was it something you didn't want Japan to see what you were doing with North Korea?
Also, Japan is not saying they are not going to trade with you or you are banned. You are just losing "special" privilege. You will just have to go through regular procedures like the rest.

There is a lot of skepticism in the Japanese intelligence about the information they are getting from South Korea, if South Korea did break the GSOMIA pact, it would not be a problem for Japan. Japan has its own assets and other that Japan could rely on. In fact, South Korea got more from the pact than Japan did.

You already had most of a year to reverse your mistake before the retaliatory measures were taken, Korea.

Anyone else noticing that the South Korean government now seems to be 'softening' its stance, even if just a wee little bit?
Hopefully their misinformation campaign and attempts to vilify Japan in the eyes of the international public is becoming the utter failure it should be.
If Moon and his dysfunctional bunch had acted like grown adults from the beginning, it may never have gotten to this point.

South Korea threatened to take it to the WTO. And nobody cared. Took it crying to the United States, and was told they need to solve it themselves. South Korea just made a big presentation at the Asian Security Forum, in front of other Asian nations that are not even on Japan's white list themselves. Nobody cared. Their attempts at trying to get international opinion against Japan are failing big time. Yea, they're softening their stance alright. Meantime North Korea is testing short range missiles to get past SK's defenses. Wake up Moon, South Korea is humiliating itself and looking like a clown before the whole world.
