They make it seem like those members are independently changing, but in actuality they are just shuffling their members around like a sports team - they know what they are doing. Its like they strategically look at what is going on in other countries and shuffle and do things accordingly. Would not be surprised if they are behind the scenes influencing politics in other countries also.

No they're not. There is no truth behind that story. Yes Ivan would dearly love to split the Japanese away from their alliance with the US, but they are never going to return the four southernmost Kurile Islands to Japan willingly. Never.

Yeah. Most people here still live under the delusion of the Cold War. Communists in Japan are now more like the Vietnamese/Chinese style, except the JCP embraces democracy. In fact, they even denounced the CCP for its evil totalitarianism.
I would like to add to the "Not being behold to J Buisness would be a wonderous turn of events" with "Not being vassal to foreign businesses." The people with most money to corrupt Japan, these days, are Americans and Chinese.
Not beholden to foreign powers and big corporations. They are the fierciest critic of Japanese LDP neoliberalism.
The Russians are willing to return 4 islands on the North to Japan if it drifts away from the US. Having the JCP on the throne is an ideal bet. As long as Japan becomes less dependent on the US, it is always better for the people.

My kids should thank me if this household votes for the Japan Commies? Pray tell why!?
Fighto!
How can these Commies be politically "independent" when -
Im sorry, barring a handful of radicals, Japanese people will never vote for communists to form government. Fact.

Just only under neutral considerations that split won’t help in future elections, in contrary.

Dynasty you get it too. It's a misnomer to call it communist. Name change would help. Don't know about the funding but their policies would be benificial for everybody living in Japan. Not being behold to J Buisness would be a wonderous turn of events.

@Septim... ‘Your’ favorite jcp is exactly as far from being communist as the ldp...lol Believe me, I’ve lived under communist regime until 1990. Maybe, you haven’t.

Japan Communist Party is the only meaningful, independent, capable opposition that can save Japan from LDP's madness of selling Japan to foreign investors. Too bad that the US fears Communism and will do anything in its CIA power to prevent the JCP rising into power.
Currently, the JCP receives monetary and political support from both China and Vietnam. It explains why it is one of the oldest Communist Parties in the world. As if American influence is waning in Japan, then the JCP can stage a comeback to seize the power.

What a mess, leadership for the opposition is lacking. Once more allowing the LDP to claim victory with no questioning of their dubious kanipitions.
