Fukushima-related restrictions, though six countries or regions -- including South Korea, China and Taiwan -- continue a blanket ban on food products from Fukushima and certain adjacent prefectures.

They are still allowing food import from the rest of Japan beside Fukushima and there are others prefecture beside Fukushima right. Why keep pushing other countries to take food from troubling region?

Because the WTO is in bed with prc companies who hate Japan.

Really it is up to Japan to prove that food from the effected area is safe before Taiwan, and any other trading partner lifts any restrictions.

Nothing to do with "hating" Japan. It's to do with hating food with could possibly be contaminated.

Japan will not begin talks with Taiwan on joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership until the food ban issue is addressed, saying they are two different matters.

If all else fails, blackmail.

Consuming possibly radioactive food seems to be a very good reason to have the present import ban-it is not as if Japan has not exported radioactive goods in the past is it???

Because they couldn't win in WTO, South Korea proves that.

WTO has ruled that ban on Fukushima area food is kosher.

Don't lift the ban.
