The Philippines and Korea said no such thing.

Taiwan is pretty much on its own on the day Xi decides to invade.

Both don't have to say anything: with US troops and ships in the countries, they will be quicker to respond to China. Nothing can stop them from being sent in.

What a crock of over-zealous over-exaggerated portentous psychobabble

That's some good alliteration. If the US wants to have a trading partner in Japan and South Korea, it had better be prepared to keep Taiwan and its waters free as I understand things. Anyways, it is the right thing to do.

Expecting the world to protect Taiwan who is technically engaged in a civil war with mainland China and has never formally claimed independence is ridiculous.

Doesn't have to be the world. Just has to be the US, which as you are quick to acknowledge elsewhere is very trigger happy.

Exactly, thank you. I already know how Korea feels on this subjects, the more people understand that, the more planning can happen without S.Korea.

USA, Japan, should know ahead of time, South Korea has no plans to be involved for Taiwan. All plans, strategy, should happen without South Korea in mind. In fact, knowing South Korea's true intentions ahead of time, is the Best Gift S.Korea can give back!

Unfortunately for Taiwan, no readily available Proxy Combatant Forces to come to their rescue, which would be an exercise in total futility anyway.

After all it's easy to 're-arm' and resupply Ukrainian civilians with bordering countries but not island Taiwan, so Ukraine has this false illusion of hope, Taiwan not so.

Nobody's going to have another "Ukraine" happen to their country = Failed State for taking on proxy combatant status on behalf of Taiwan.

The US is only weapons supplier to Taiwan.

The US has enough of it's own problems just trying to keep up without getting involved in everyone else's conflicts.

Does the US look like a country that says no to wars? Do the forces stationed in the Western Pacific say to you that the US is only a weapons supplier?

The US won't have to re-arm Taiwan. It can plant mines, fly its aircraft, and sail just fine into Taiwanese harbors as that is the status quo today. Criminal China will find it quite hard to have air superiority over Taiwan.

You should be saying nobody is going to surrender willingly to the dictator cabal.
