Time right for Taiwan, Japan to talk regional trade pact

Taiwan is a free country.

According to a survey released by the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association on Thursday, 59 percent of Taiwanese say they feel the most affinity toward Japan among all countries and regions, the highest since 2008.

China is in distant second place at 8 percent and the United States in third place at 4 percent.

The survey also found that 50 percent of the respondents said Japan is trustworthy, while 40 percent are ambivalent and only 9 percent said it is not trustworthy.

What an impressive difference between what some define ex-Japan's colonies under brutal Japanese ruling.

Dear Taiwan,

We like you, Taiwanese people are friendly towards Japan and want good relations.

We don't want to put you in danger with Beijing, they seem very focus on you and joining mainland again.

I don't want to see Taiwanese people getting hurt or in a war, whatever move you can make and not annoy Beijing is the way to go.

That will likely make PRC very happy.

I thought Taiwan politics is managed by China...., is this an other provocation ?
