"The medal was also presented to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for elevating the U.S.-India strategic partnership"

One could argue that this strategic partnership started during the Bush era when Modi was banned from entering the US.

Modi's epic suck-up to Trump did bear fruit after all. Though endorsing Trump and pushing Indian Americans to vote for him in an event where Kamala Harris was also present was taking things a bit too far.

The insecure, needy Don values omertà highly and rewards anybody who shows loyalty to him by staying shtum about what they know of his true character, so Putin, Kim, Qi, Bolsonaro and his other murderous buddies must be miffed to be left off the list of honorees, but, at least, they won't be needing a Trumpardon.

Abe, Modi and Morrison. Two right wing hawks and one accidental flake PM. Good example of ‘birds of a feather flock together’.

Well prior to that Modi reached out to Obama, and Obama responded by giving him a red-carpet welcome, Modi has now reached out Biden, and assuming he becomes president, will work closely with him. And yes Modi endorsed Trump, and majority of Indian Americans did vote for Trump..and Trump did win the election..I mean the actual election.

While Abe did not go to see India in the final stage and still does not know to trust anyone outside my islands, the world changed a lot.

Modi invited Obama to be the chief guest at India's Republic Day parade but Obama created discomfort for Modi on that occasion by questioning India's treatment of minorities. With Trump there were no such issues, all Modi had to do was hug Trump and grovel before him to be rewarded.

So that is all you got from that visit.. may want to look at the civil nuclear and defense cooperation deals among others that were signed during that visit. Obama for one, said something for public consumption..but when it came to signing deals/agreements he was all business. As for Trump, he just followed up further on these deals/agreements.

Modi had to do was hug Trump and grovel before him to be rewarded.

Well that just proves Modi is a statesman and a businessman and not some right wing hawk. Trump did not reward anything, Modi played hardball, Trump did not like that, but given the China equation he had/has no option.

One could say that a red line was crossed when Modi openly supported Trump in an event where Kamala Harris was also invited but he did not anticipate that Kamala Harris would become VP a year later. It's called betting on the wrong horse and Modi lost big time

Modi support's Trump and will support Biden if he becomes president, he is a statesman and a businessman, his policy is India first, and will work with anyone as long it works to his advantage.

Under normal circumstances such an award would be a huge honor but coming from Trump it lacks credibility and any significance. More like a stone around the neck than a medal on the chest.

It makes all three leaders look silly and makes them out to be loyal Trump supporters when they simply played a necessary role to reduce negative effects of the Trump presidency on their nations.

Modi did not extend the same courtesy to Trudeau when he came visiting inspite of the fact that Canada has a huge Indian immigrant population, with many Indians in Trudeau's cabinet. So there goes his India first policy.

You are missing the point that India needs the US more than US needs India, so Modi will grovel before any American president but he was most comfortable working with Trump who would not question his treatment of minorities. Bet Modi will have no such luck with Kamala Harris as VP.

Yes, Modi did not extend the same courtesy to Trudeau, why do you think he did that, that Indian immigration problem is the Khalistani types immigration problem, who are just another variant of there Jihadi brethren, these Khalistani's are politically very active in Canada, e.g.Canada's defense minister Harjit Singh Sajjan is a Khalistani supporter, that's why Modi did not extend the same courtesy to Trudeau.

India does not need the US, US needs India very much, one for it's massive brain power, just look at the US tech companies, oh yes, why do you think US renamed the United States Pacific Command to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.

Modi's only 'achievement' has been tanking the Indian economy, creating and exploiting religious divides within the country, surrendering 1000 sq kms of Indian territory to China without a fight and then lying to the country about it with a straight face. Many Indians now call him 'Surrender Modi' instead of Narendra Modi.

Now that's the Modi/India hater right there, all out fact distortion....

"just look at the recent bypoll/state/municipal elections"

Indians are not really known to elect great politicians. States like Bihar and UP used to elect gangsters and criminals for decades. That is why India is still a third world slum.

"Modi's IT brigade"

Yes the same which preaches Modi's bhajans on a daily basis.

Um that started during the Bush era when neither Modi nor Obama were in charge.

Not sure about Abe and Morrison but Modi should be the last person to get this LOM military honor.

The Legion of Merit is given to uniformed U.S. military service members and military and political figures of foreign governments for outstanding services and achievements.

Modi's only 'achievement' has been tanking the Indian economy, creating and exploiting religious divides within the country, surrendering 1000 sq kms of Indian territory to China without a fight and then lying to the country about it with a straight face. Hope the Biden Harris administration take the award back once they are inaugurated, otherwise the idiot and his supporters will go around chest thumping about the award for next few years.

Trump is right to kick out H1Bs from the US most of whom are employed only because they are willing to work for lower salary but instead these guys think that the US will stop functioning without them. That's one reason why I liked Trump somewhat...

Definitely a Modi/India hater.. except for the haters.. Modi's popularity is only growing and growing..just look at the recent bypoll/state/municipal elections, a.t.p he has no competition..none.. and that's why the haters are alarmed and terrified.

Modi's IT brigade?? where did you get that, the haters like the Khalistani's though do dish out fake propaganda, Khalistan may though happen in Canada, If I were you, I will be very concerned about that.

Waiting to hear your version of the facts, bet it will be nothing different from the propaganda that Modi's IT brigade dishes out daily to fool Indians.
