Taormina, eh? Very posh.

Italy chose to stage the summit in Sicily to draw attention to Africa, which is 140 miles (225 km) from the island at its closest point across the Mediterranean.

Perhaps Lampedusa might have been more appropriate. Closer to the horrors of the desperate migration.

On a more positive note; great photo - well done, Oxfam.

Out of all the issues, what do you bet that the only thing agreed upon (and take action) will be more "security"

@mahmood hehehe, like your comment.

when i read the tagline, i interrupted it to suggest their aims are getting rich richer, continue destroying nature, and support terrorism through proxy wars and arms sales to despots.

Before there can be free trade, these so called allies must dismantle their trade barriers, and there are many hidden trade barriers to restrict and drive up the cost of American products entering their countries.  Once again, these trade barriers are more detrimental to free trade than the tariffs themselves.

Talk about a powerful group!

Although a true Group of 7 would be sans Canada and Italy and add China and either Russia or India.
