I don't think I have seen a husband and wife look less in love than the impression I get from this photo of the Donald and his wife.

Liberals never have anything nice to say. Four more years!

Don't know about four more years, but hey written for him or not we don't hear many appropriate presidential sounding things from Trump so not too bad, credit where credit shouldn't be needed. :-)

Who wrote that for him then?

Doesn't Mrs Trump have a stylist?

Someone should remind her to wear a petticoat.

The man and his wife are walking holding hands. Must be they hate each other, lol

You must have missed the SOTU address.

U.S. Ambassador to Japan Bill Hagerty also released a commemorative video reflecting upon the ties between the two countries as he welcomed the beginning of the Reiwa era.

"During the past three decades, our countries have worked together to build the closest, most important relationship shared by any two nations in the world.

Actually it's the past seven decades.

Doesn't Mrs Trump have a stylist? Someone should remind her to wear a petticoat.

Melania looks stunning, as always.

I bet he (45) raced to be the first one to visit him so he could have yet another of his "I was the first to...." anecdotes....

Trump, dignified message for a change.

Mr. President and Mr. Ambassador,

Thank you for your kind words.

President Trump acknowledges the strong USA/Japan friendship and cooperation and how important it is. Me too.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Exaggerated headline... the words in the message seem just a diplomatic thing and more mention of the two countries ties rather than the importance of the emperor!

Melania looks stunning

Get your eyes checked by the opticians! If anything, then the First Lady of the US should look more elegant and dignified rather than that look! Should hire better stylist!

Never been a fan of Donald Trump but he looks good in this photo!

Never been a fan of Donald Trump but he looks good in this photo!

extra deep cut suits to hide his belly, you never see him with his jacket off. He is clinically obese bt if that is looking good, must be an American standard. Does anyone in Japan even get two hoots about anything this joker says? Certainly not the public. Hell he still calls his closest foreign ally Mr Abi LOL.

Absolutely beautiful words. No wonder USA is Japans best friend in the world and Trump is PM Abes best Leader in the world.

Thank you, Trump!! You deserve 4 more years that's for sure.

U.S. Ambassador Bill Hagerty said:

These decades have brought security alliance significantly forward," he said. "I'm certain our enduring partnership will continue in beautiful harmony for years to come."

Probably, Okinawa is a black sheep disturbing what Hagerty calls "beautiful harmony. But if only the U.S. scraps the Henoko relocation plan voluntarily and admits it is demanding Japan implement the Henoko relocation for no other reason than for their own benefit  and convenience, the harmony would be sure to become more beautiful.

Shut up Trump, the world does not need your hypocrite, narcissistic words..

Ask trump , what is the name of the out going Emperor, and what country does he come from.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Leaving aside the issue of Trump being Trump, the SK nationalists must be going nuts over how the United States values it's relationship with Japan, as compared to their country.

Shut up Trump, the world does not need your hypocrite, narcissistic words..

And you guys wonder why Trump is so paranoid about criticism. He doesn't do anything but utter the words 'congratulations' and people like you jump all over him.
