President Trump has been doing a great job and will likely be re-elected in November. Most Americans tune into FOXNEWS and not CNN, the Onion, or JT. PM Abe;s visit to Iran was hopeful but not probable end of story. The other issue President Trump has is to reduce the Japan import deficit. The US and Japan has great relations and will likely be the same for the foreseeable future. President Trump is looking out for Americans as he was elected to do and will try to balance the imports and exports in the future.

The fraud currently occupying the White House is a disaster, not only to the interests of The United States of America (U.S./USA), but the nations and peoples having diplomatic and business relationships with us.

The damage done to the nation and to the world at large will take decades to repair.

To be fair to Trump, Japan has a much better relationship with Iran than the US or most other western nations do. Among US allies Abe probably had the greatest chance of making any progress in any kind of negotiation with Iran.

Talks with Iran were always going to fail unless the US gave up way too much.

It doesn't matter who the President is - unless she/he is a total wimp.

Bolton is a liar. Trump is a liar. Any more questions?

well he wasn't allowed to testify at the impeachment trial since the Republicans blocked him, so now you can read the answers he would have given in his book

Not entirely correct. Bolton himself refused to testify before the House, most likely to save all the juicy tidbits for his book.

It's the Senate that did not request his testimony because they were never interested in hearing the truth. Well, the members of the majority party weren't.

And of course we are to believe everything Bolton, a traitor to America, has to say.

Bolton is traitor, why again? (I assume it's not because he didn't testify in front of Congress during the impeachment hearings.)

And, yeah, I would believe him over Trump. Actually, I would believe a meth-addicted used car salesman over Trump.

I know this might be a hard concept for diehard Trump-lovers to grasp but dishing out the dirt on a leader you think is criminally incompetent and committing acts that you know will damage your country are not exactly the same thing.

The only damage being done to America is being done by Democratic lovers.

Wow. Killer retort there. I think I will have to totally re-evaluate my views and apply for US citizenship just so I can vote for Donald Trump and give him all my money.

No problem in asking Abe represnting Japan which has many Centuries of historical ties to Iran. Any President needs to use every resource strong and weak to mediate a tough situation, successful or not. That encounter gave the entire world a better "perspective" on where Iran and its leaders stood, thought and felt. Failure is not a waste but a valuable resource.

I don't think Abe ever took Trump seriously... Just visualize Abe's face after he escaped Trump's very long hand shake...

Trump has a plan to assassinate General Soleimani before Mr.Abe depart to Iran to mediate the US Iran tension!  He was wilfully not telling Abe but misguided him! This is Trump's nasty behaviour to friends!

Trump so dumb, he has no power to arrest or sentence, such as monument destruction, only state and local and federal prosecutors, have that power

Neither Trump's nor Abe's command of English or any other language and insufficient intellectual horsepower qualifies them to mediate jack...

Are you talking about trump or those who sport the traitorous confederate flag.

Although the memoir by former top U.S. official John Bolton has been trashed by the White House, and a claim about a $8 billion troop-hosting demand selectively denied by Japan, the book offers a candid portrait of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s for-better-or-worse relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump.

We get it. Anyone with common sense knows poor Shinzo is trump's flunky!

I started reading this book last night and, from the very first page, Trump is referred to in the past tense. I know it's grammatically correct because the events are in the past, however, I can't help but think that Bolton had future readers in mind as he wrote. Maybe he knows something we don't but Trump will not be the next President (unless he becomes so illegally as he did in 2016) and Abe is unlikely to be Japanese PM come the end of 2020.

A great read though!
