How much fear and envy does the US have of China, and the Dragon has not done anything yet, what would it be like if China did something??..

How much fear and envy does the US have of China,

A little bit of fear as Jinping is a warmonger planning on invasion of Taiwan. Zero envy of China and it's repressive ways. The average Chinese on the other hand has a high level of envy at the freedoms of the US and free world to speak their mind without fear of fines and imprisonment that comes with living in China.

and the Dragon has not done anything yet, what would it be like if China did something??..

Well China could start a new regional conflict at any time, but basically they continue to play catch up with the US.

In regards to this trade "initiative" I guess that since the US can no longer take charge of the TPP it refuses to apply to join it, and figures to be in charge it must begin another regional trade deal instead. If it is not in charge it seems unwilling to join under others leadership.

One huge failing of the US in modern times. Even China applied to join TPP, but it no doubt intends to take charge if admitted. In the least if it gets in before Taiwan it will veto their joining. Perhaps that was their main intention from the beginning.
