Fighto!
If the shaky midget Putin EVER resorted to using nukes on the innocent Ukrainians, may the gates of nuclear hell be unleashed on him, his family and ALL fellow rodents around them.
Laguna
Almost? What on earth is that?

I don't remember that the gates of nuclear hell fell on America after it bombed Japanese cities with atomic bombs. I probably missed this moment, correct me

Fightoo, and which country will nuke Russian, Russian agreed with the US to nuke Japan, you have no power over US nuclear weapons, name one country,if you cannot, you do not know anything
Yrral
US has no.legal obligation to nuke Russian, only under an attack on the US

If they condemn any threat to use nuclear weapons, I hope it also includes threats against Russia.

The little angry man doesn't care about pushing the button he has enjoyed his life to almost the fullest he is decaying internally and for all we know he may be thinking he doesn't care because he wants everyone to go with him. Selfish thought but he has killed so many people I don't think he has no problem with wanting to go ballistic. The crazy thing is what are the Russian people thinking? If this guy goes nuclear the Russians best believe they too will be on the receiving end so no one wins!
Nuclear tension has surged since the start of the conflict with Ukraine as President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly warned that Russia is ready to use its nuclear arsenal, if necessary, to defend its "territorial integrity."

@Yrral You asked to name a country that will nuke Russia, I can name several that can. China, Iran, NK, Pakistan and India just because they are friends doesn't mean they can't become enemies. All of those countries have nuclear weapons. I guess you don't know nothing! Xi is playing poker and as soon as the little man Putin kicks the bucket watch China make a move on that area. They cannot be trusted they share a border part of the land mass that Russia has control of belonged to China and you don't think Xi isn't eyeing that land. Well think again. The big Panda is smiling but as soon as they lay the rose on Putin watch China!!

Putin will not push his nuke button first because he loves his country and people, or at least those who don't oppose him.

This is the moment for pause and to remind ourselves of the horrors that we can inflict on each other and fall into. The nuclear specter has appeared once again, and it only took a single generation of lurking, hiding in the shadows.
Believe that the G7 summit in Hiroshima will be historical moment, in a positive way. Kishida, this is your moment. The message is larger than you or your cynical detractors. Believe in people, give them the benefit of the doubt, let the dialog take its course and we all may be surprised. Solutions to complex problems, something everyone wants.

After further review the story we were all fed about the Patriot system shooting down a Kinzhal missile was fabricated by Kiev.
The very first casualty of war is the truth.
This European war is not Japan's concern.

Don't they?

Putin has no understanding of the meaning of love. He loves no one apart from, possibly, himself.
He will not push the nuke button because giving that order is the one thing that will give the minions around him the backbone to disobey him. They don’t want their families to die, and they don’t want to start WWIII. (With the exception of Medvedev - he’s rabid enough to follow his tzar into hell.)

If they were nuclear threats clearly conveyed, sure. No one is going to cynically conflate something like a drone over the Black Sea with the disgusting rhetoric coming out of the Kremlin.

So, when an American President threatens Iran that 'all options are on the table' the G7 will condemn the threat to use nuclear weapons?
cleo
I don't recall ever making any such claim. Love is a very strong word.
I have a great deal of respect for the Ukrainian people as they face up to the abomination that is Putin, and a great deal of sympathy for their suffering.
Defending one's homeland against a barbaric horde is not a lost cause. If Ukraine gives in to Putin's aggression, the result will be that they will suffer even more.
Did you listen to Putin's 'Victory Day' speech in Red Square today? And see the double-drone fireworks display over the Kremlin the other day? Who is lying to the masses?
At least you recognise that the return of Crimea to Ukraine will be a liberation.
TaiwanIsNotChina
I don't think serious people believe this statement means a preemptive nuclear strike.
TaiwanIsNotChina
Nobody knows what the result of the Ukrainian offensive will be and the US should support the victim here in their defense against further assault/taking back what is rightfully theirs.

There aren't a lot of things that most people agree on, but avoiding the use of nuclear weapons is undoubtedly the one thing that everyone can agree on. That said, it is not surprising that homicidal maniacs like Putin and Kim routinely threaten the world with nuclear armageddon. Being crazy means that one does things that are not rational, and Putin and Kim have shown themselves repeatedly to be insane.
1glenn
Which leads me to this.......is it surprising that Trump calls both Putin and Kim his friends? Trump is another one who has talked about nuclear weapons affirmatively, along the lines of "why have them, if we aren't going to use them?"
Yrral
The US first response is to support American, that are under somekind of racial, sexual or political oppression in America, before it advocate for others, and not do it for it own citizen
