More handouts and more corruption.

Shmyhal is from western Ukraine. He'd better get used to that being the new Ukraine and get the capital setup where he is from.

Biden will supply Ukraine with long-range missiles.

Biden will supply Ukraine with long-range missiles.

How?

Don't joke with Russia, this is not the Soviet Union, the answer will be harsh

missiles supplied by the West will destroy even more people along the right bank of the Dnieper and will worsen the situation in Ukraine.

I wonder how the average Japanese sees the photo of our PM as the news headline. I heard men who has beard are perceived as gangsters :D however having a beard in Ukraine is currently a trend, please, dont be afraid, Japanese :)

It's a country with no future. But yes, like any rabid dog, everyone should be careful of it. And like a rabid dog, it needs to be contained.

Don't joke with Russia, this is not the Soviet Union, the answer will be harsh

It's a key question, this ongoing negotiation over Ukraine's security and US border security.

FBI Director Wray made it clear in public testimony to Congress, just a few weeks ago, present risk of US domestic terrorism now the highest in his entire career, with hundreds of known terrorists identified by border cameras, entering the US just since Oct 7th.

Plus, organized crime cartels busy setting up shop everywhere in US with human and drug trafficking off the charts. And Chinese, Russian and others and their likely covert operatives entering by the thousands.

Money is not the core problem at the US border, rather it's policies that were reversed when Biden took office that need to be reinstated.

Most US voters consider above growing US DOMESTIC Security Risks FAR more important than ongoing Ukraine border problems, stemming from their 10year old civil war, that seemingly has no clear objectives or timeline.

You're even more of a paper tiger than when you had most of Eastern Europe under your thumb. Your army has proven incapable of defeating Ukraine over years.

Ukraine's problem remains manpower mobilization Parliament failures, lack of sufficient western munitions and Russia being on the front foot with growing military capabilities including manpower and munitions.

Plus, Ukraine's foreign support dropping, especially in US, as most voters no longer support US policy to provide more weapons, war is deemed unwinnable etc.

Trends obvious, more and more Ukrainians seek peace, understand war not winnable. Time magazine's surveys of Ukrainians regarding peace, quoted in recent article below, hardly biased against Ukraine.

The syntax of these posts, whom one could suppose are from posters of a Eastern European lets say origin , are suspect and I suspect the old USSR could have done better with convincing cover agents.

I don't even get this.

It means Putin's kleptocracy Russia is more savage than the old USSR in its threats?

I think most Russians would agree the old USSR was better and Putin originally tried to ape the old glory and ended up being just a kleptocratic clown.

Your new favorite article makes an appearance!!! Fortunately it does not say any kind of surrender by Ukraine is likely.

Ukraine reality, there's no pipeline of trained troops, people busy fleeing the country, etc. War's simply not sustainable, even with handouts. Growing failed state with no clear military objectives or path to victory.

Ukrainians rapidly tiring of being cannon fodder for US globalist special interests and their war $profiteering and dangerous Russia destabilization agenda. Mr. Musk is right, Ukraine's digging deeper grave day by day, while putting entire world in greater WW III peril every day.

Mr. Mike Johnson, SOH, understands above and growing risks to US domestic security due to open borders etc. and related increasing risk of great powers WW III.

One of the world‘s most corrupt governments over the past 3 decades continues to beg for guns and money.

-5 ( +8 / -13 )

@Quo Primum

One of the world‘s most corrupt governments over the past 3 decades

Oh yeah? How do you prove that? You can't. If you can find an INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED league table for corruption, you will certainly find that Russia is near the top. How many luxury estates do Putin & his cronies have? MANY. Do you care about that, Ruskie troll man?

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Russia will eventually crush Ukraine but Zelensky will be safely housed in the US with the massive wealth he’s skimmed off the money from numerous countries believing his lies.

Japans government has fallen off this scam and the Japanese taxpayers will be ‘on the hook’ for payback! Japan needs to care for itself and let the fall as they may in Ukraine!

-3 ( +8 / -11 )

What the Ukraine needs is realistic leaders. Who is this war more important to? The US or Russia?

Hint... It's not the US.

Of coarse it is important to Ukraine but sadly for them they do not have the weapons or man power needed.

Ukraine's choice is now losing territory and peace or fighting on and losing more territory and lives.

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

Greatest corruption's not financial, not related to assets or ill-gotten gains etc. Rather, it's high-jacking Govt. policy & capabilities in order to pursue destabilization & ultimately control of other independent nation states.

Entire US NATO Ukraine Proxy war's most massive and dangerous globalist orchestrated corruption in history of modern world. Takes LOTS of Ukrainian & Russian soldiers & civilian Lives & Weapons to pursue this corruption!

Wow, talk about a turning of the tides of sentiment. Lot of anti Ukraine comments. Is this part of the Tucker Carlson effect. Don't know enough to pass judgement or deserve an opinion on this one but the wind change is definitely palpable.

Either that or the word EXPECTS aid in the title had the desired reaction!

Wow, talk about a turning of the tides of sentiment.

No, it's just the usual pro-Kremlin/pro-Beijing/anti-Japan posters spouting the same nonsense that they always do.

Just another day on the internet.

It time to end this war , before it becomes a money pit,for US taxpayers,no way will Ukrainain prevail with the current leadership, the US cannot beat the Houthis,a JV terrorist organization

Ukraine has corruption levels similar to what Russia has. It has since the early Soviet days. The gangs of internet thieves we all know exist in Russia have existed in Ukraine for just as long. It is uncomfortable, but true. Ukrainian gangs have been part of the world crime problem for decades. https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-67556607 https://www.darkreading.com/cybersecurity-analytics/ukraine-war-fault-line-cybercrime-forever is about how Russian and Ukrainian cyber gangs used to work together, but not are working against each other.

But none of that means they shouldn't fight Russian invaders.

There are lots of prices for military equipment. The quote of $111B is the "list price". Countries buying at list get just a few items. Volume discounts like the US gets are much less.

Ukraine's choice is now losing territory and peace or fighting on and losing more territory and lives.

I thought this was a US / NATO war and they Ukraine didn't have a choice when they would be allowed to surrender, sorry 'make peace'?

Either way, Ukraine isn't going to be 'making peace' any time soon, so you'd better tighten the belt on that vatnik jacket you are wearing because this war will go on until the Soviets did what they did in Afghanstan.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Putin's puppet, for the price of just a few hundred million dollars, has prevented tens of billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine. Guaranteeing the bank's loans to Trump has paid off handsomely for Putin.

Congratulations on the 2nd anniversary of your stupid, pointless, murderous war. Let's raise a glass of you being thoroughly mugged off by Putin, and here's to another decade of you not having a clue as to what's going on.

There is no dialog to be had with Russia. Ukraine will execute all Russian soldiers in Ukraine.

Russia must die.

If CNN is even reporting this (now) things must be 10 times worse than they're telling us.

No, the choice is to preserve their independence while maintaining their legal claim to Crimea and Donbas for when the fascist state collapses again as it always does.

No, Ukrainians still support the war by a large majority, even based on the article YOU posted.

Mr. Mike Johnson, SOH, understands above and growing risks to US domestic security due to open borders etc. and related increasing risk of great powers WW III.

The Ukraine war doesn't risk the US border and if Himars rounds didn't cause WW3, neither will artillery shells.

Should JT Readers Believe YOU or Time Magazine Professionals and their Actual Ukraine Survey work?

They should believe the article YOU posted and misrepresent here.

If Russia is not defeated in Ukraine, within five years or less there will be a NATO-Russia war. Learn the lessons of 1938. Giving in to Hitler's demands for Sudetenland and the annexation of Austria didn't buy "peace in our time". It simply set the stage for Hitler to conquer much of the rest of Europe. This is not the time to show weakness or a lack of resolve. If the west does not stand up to Russia and assist Ukraine so they can win then Russia will not stop at the Ukraine border. Do not be naive and think Russia will stop if the west is weak. This is a test the west must pass to prevent a much larger and vastly more costly war.

So? That is like worrying about the wallpaper when your home is on fire. It is not a reason to turn one's back on Ukraine while it is being attacked by the Russians. It is if anything just a bad excuse to cover your adoration of authoritarians (knowing you don't suffer under one yourself).

You can't start rebuilding it until Russia has finished destroying it.

$200bn in aid? 1% of that would have paid for a hit on Putin.

Instead, all the money, the lives lost, the global economic damage and the carbon emissions from destroying cities and rebuilding them.

What a lousy way to run a species.

Show me a world leader assassinated by a foreign power in recent times, JFK aside (which is unproven).

$200bn in aid? 1% of that would have paid for a hit on Putin.

A government ordering and implementing the assassination of the leader of another state would be an unambiguous act of war. The idea of supporting Ukraine against Russia is to prevent a NATO-Russia war, not start one.

But if we fail to support Ukraine now then that NATO-Russia war is guaranteed.

on Avdiivka minus 162,000 thousand Ukrainian soldiers. I think it is necessary to give help to Ukraine in order to “correct” the situation
