Here come the tariffs!

Japan and Iran have always had good diplomatic relations. Israel and the US should learn from them.

Trump is going to lead us all into a global war for the sake of his next election.

No. Trump undid an illegal and treasonous collusion with an enemy left by your beloved Comrade Obama!

Iran threatening the USA is laughable. Kinda like the small kid trying to hit the tall kid who is keeping him at arm's length.

At least you know who the real bully is...

No. Trump undid an illegal and treasonous collusion with an enemy left by your beloved Comrade Obama!

You mean, the United Nations...

In Trump's own words 12/1/16

We will pursue a new foreign policy that finally learns from the mistakes of the past. We will stop looking to topple regimes and overthrow governments. Our goal is stability not chaos.

In our dealings with other countries we will seek shared interests where-ever possible and pursue a new era of peace, understanding and goodwill.

No, all Trump did was to further show everyone that:

we must not expect the US to follow any agreement.

Trump is in the pocket of Israel.

If you are referring to the nuclear agreement with Iran it was legally binding among international nations including the US. Until Trump undid it. That agreement created peace with Iran, so the Israelis were not happy (hence Trump undoing it).

Iran threatening the USA is laughable

That's funny, I thought it was a US aircraft carrier fleet in the middle east and not the other way round.?

16 ( +17 / -1 )

Hey, Donald, here's a thought.

Iran's got WMD's. Worked for Bush, it'll work for you too.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

As an American, and as a human, I am ashamed of Trump and his behavior toward Iran.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

First we had Obama, who caved to the Iranian regime, paid them off handsomely, and failed to support the only mid-east uprising that had a chance of a good outcome (the only one in the region he didn't get involved in).

Now we have Trump's warmongers, who will make the opposite mistake of bringing war to the region. One of Trump's most attractive features was his promise to get the US out of the Bush/Obama wars. Very disappointing. And many Americans still think they are the good guys, swallowing the same BS propaganda that got them into Iraq.

Doesn't matter. The US wants to declare war Under Bolton, and that's all there is to it. Abe's not about to bite the heel of his master, he only nips at them as he bounces up and down waiting for a milkbone.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

The rogue state of the USA is at it again.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Doesn't matter. The US wants to declare war Under Bolton,

I think you need to stop listening to all the liberal news and CNN.

and that's all there is to it.

There is zero proof, absolutely no evidence whatsoever that supports your accusation, none.

Abe's not about to bite the heel of his master, he only nips at them as he bounces up and down waiting for a milkbone.

Oh, dear lord....

I think it is a good thing what the president is doing and I think you should show the strongest presence in the region to get the Iranians to understand this cannot go on and it should be a clear warning to them that if they even think about something that there are consequences that will be met with a sharp response and why a lot of people don’t realize is you can do that without firing a shot or killing people. This is what is so annoying to me about liberals they feed into this beast and get everybody riled up into thinking that there is eminent war present, they did that with North Korea as well and nothing happened. I don’t like war, but I understand the optics behind it and I do think it’s a good thing and I really could care less as to how many downed votes I get. Just keeping it real.

i often miss the countryside of America. But Trump makes me glad I left 15 years ago.

The comments of his followers just makes me want to throw up.

CNN?

wow

The president or his advisers ? By all accounts, even from liberal sources like the Washington Post, Trump is frustrated with the saber rattling and is looking towards a diplomatic solution.

I wonder how many people the Americans will kill in their next war? 100,000? 1,000,000? more?

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Latest news on CNN is that Iranians had missiles on one of its boats.

And that is all there is....!

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

kurisupisu, you mean missiles of Iranian manufacture. How would the USA hold up if it was responsible for the use of all weapons made in the USA?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Japan and Iran have always had good diplomatic relations. Israel and the US should learn from them.

@ TigersTokyoDome - brilliantly stated. Japan and Iran have had very close relations for many decades. Japan does not have anti-Islam stance like USA and Western world, it has more tolerance. Therefore, Japan should be granted an exception to trade unrestricted with Iran.

It was very unfortunate that Iran went for Nuke power despite plenty of oil to run their country. It has created unnecessary suspicion in the middle east about their real motives. It was a step toward becoming like N.Korea to strike a fear in the region.

The image of Ayatollah Khomeini + Nuke is not very good one.

I really hope Iran gives up Nuke to keep good relationship with Japan and other countries.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

socrateos: "It was very unfortunate that Iran went for Nuke power" It has been verified internationally the Iran does NOT have Nuk power, just has Iraq did not and has not nuk power. And, again, which is the only nation to have used "Nuke power" against civilian women and children? Which nation is at present on the verge of war with Venezuela, Iran and North Korea? as US President Carter himself said: the US is the biggest warmonger in history.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Western aggression towards Iran depresses me. My own country's past actions in particular make me ashamed.

For sure, Iran has many problems, and the fanatical religious elements don't help. (Although I'm not sure which is better, a Muslim extremist or an Eton-educated twerp. One will bomb you from twenty meters and other will bomb you from a thousand kilometers.)

The Iranians I've met have always been secular in outlook and share much the same goals as people everywhere - prosperity for their family, their friends, their neighbors, their associates. That's something worth supporting.

Sorry. A little angry today.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

That’s the Fox in the Hen House! A regime that supports Worldwide Terrorism is a Terrorist itself. A religious Muslim fanatic rules Iran not an elected president or Potentate & uses his religious interpretations of the Quran to spread Hate & Discontent thru his finical support of organized Terrorist groups!

trump is wanting a global conflict on three fronts.

The Middle East, Russia and China.

Mr Hitler tried the same thing.

Will history repeat itself?

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Yes, we are hiding all of our missiles and warheads on ships just waiting for our supreme leader to unleash hell and fury on those Zionist Americans. Please.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Well trumpos only dancing to his paymaster adelsons tune. You know. Your run of the mill corruption. Move along. Nothing to see here.

I think Democrats may have had some secret meetings with China and Russia. Let's investigate them for 40 years.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Seriously, why would Trump start a shooting war? It's a much more impressive feather in his cap if he can simply say he brought their economy crashing down with just a few sanctions. "An enemy crippled and not a drop of blood spilled?" It doesn't get better than that.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Trump is just flexing muscles. He saw the screw-ups of Bush and is not going to walk that path. Iran wants the war even less than the U.S. As long as they don't shoot a missile at a carrier, it will just be a pissing contest.

Only because Iran has lots of something that Japan doesn't have ; )

You can call it Witch-hunt part II, the Post-Hillary Chronicles.

Im surprised your limit yourselves to 40 years after only 30 with Hillary.

Rubbish. There is no anti-Islam stance per se in the West. They are are far, far more accommodating to Islam than Japan. Some mosques preach hate, some followers murder masses of innocents, so there is of course some concern - but it doesn't equal being anti-Islam.

If a couple of bombs go off in Japan, I wouldn't be at all surprised to you leading the extreme anti-Islamism brigade in Japan. But that might not happen, because Japan is generally anti immigrant, unlike the US and EU.
