Good luck!

Abe could not change the peace constitution. I wanted him to give justification of JSDF in the constitution. No military, no diplomacy. All the animals on earth have weapons. Japan has weapons but uses are strictly limited by the peace constitution. We are tired and sick of enduring the bullying of China and its expansionism as well as verbal attacks and impetuous demand for compensation and apology by South Korea. Constitutional matter will be shelved up by a new leader.

There are more important things to Japan than warmongering. He has it right. His problem is to produce. Tough act for a politician, let alone the average JT opinion-poster.

Yes, you put the nail on the head. Suga is playing his card close to his chest. He is going to change the Constitution. Abe, like Moses never entered the promised land, but Suga will lead the Japanese people to victory over both China and Korea.

What all of our people are expecting is to see the coronavirus infection contained as soon as possible so they can feel safe and their daily lives return to normal

And how do you contain the virus without increased testing.

Well, there are people who believe anything.

And how do you contain the virus without increased testing.

The same way Japan has contained the virus unlike Europe, thru contact tracing, and wearing masks. Instead of looking at the number of tests look at the number of deaths.

We already know the result, LDP wins, continuing its almost unbeaten 70 year old record for wins. Actually the next PM also matches in age the LDPs rule. That's a fun fact. Not so fun for the population.

Orac, Save your breath

Dr. Lucifer will never understand that.

That speculation got a boost after opinion polls showed a jump in voter approval of Suga and of Abe's achievements.

Approval of Suga is one thing, but Abe's achievements? Pray tell just what were they, besides being the longest tenured PM in Japanese history.

I keep reading articles here talking about Abe's legacy and achievements, but have yet to read anything concrete that he has done that has been successful or worthy of being called an "achievement!"

He's looking very passionate in that photo.

Ha! Taking a leaf out of Hong Kong's book. Well, the good news is that the US elections will go ahead, come rain or shine. Or virus.

Lol, contact tracing when the infection route of more than half testing positive from the

meagre test performed is unknown.

Germany, England, Russia are doing in one day the amount of PCR test that Japan does in 2 weeks.

Death is attributed to the virus for only those that tested positive before they died which means the cause

of death for some cases is mistakenly attributed to something else and the numbers are unknown.

Even the U.S numbers will look exceptionally good if they were testing at the rate that Japan was testing.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.

Take a look at Singapore, they have had over what, 55,000 cases, and a total of 27 deaths? That's less than here in Okinawa with 2,000 plus cases and 38 deaths and counting.

They test EVERYONE, and have managed to make it a national effort to control the virus, and it's working!

They are slowly allowing the country to open up and things are looking up there!

he will will be the next longest PM.
