That’s the results when the media is censored.

Rodney: "That’s the results when the media is censored."

You're right -- they didn't mention opposition to banning imports of crab meat for kani-tours, so now people here can stuff their faces with crab while civilians in Ukraine are being shelled, women raped and murdered, and hospitalized and shelters being targeted. You're right, Rodney, they aren't saying enough.

You wanted the sanctions, right?

Well then, accept the consequences and embrace the pain!!!

When have sanctions every achieved their stated goal? Americans sanctions on Japan led ultimately to the Pacific War.

The rightists love believing this baloney rather than accepting what really happened.

Most of Russia's poorly equipped army is very busy right now, in Ukraine. Countries with a grievance against Russia might consider this a good time to get even.....Japan could take back the Kuriles, Georgia could take back the provinces Putin seized in 2008, Chechnya could fight for independence,......any one else got a bone to pick with Putin?

smith-san, you forgot 10,000 civilians killed by ukranian forces from 2014 to 2022.... I'm sure you wanted to write that but something happened and you forgot

And I’m sure you wanted to write something about the 10 million Ukrainian refugees Putin has created this month alone for no good reason and you forgot too, because you were too busy trotting out apologist talking points, right?

When you suddenly receive a poll phone, working busy cleaning up the room or cooking, and what not, do you think that far to think about where these crabs come from, especially if you don't like crustaceans?

One thing that will either end the war quickly or cripple Russia for a century is the fact that Putin is not a military strategist. Wait await a while and watch Russian strategy falter.

In Ukraine, 18~60 years old men fighting risking their lives to protect their country, those who's demanding completely equal rights carrying multiple passports in Japan laughing at Japan. What a depravity

Does anyone remember that % are just not facts finders ???. They are followers.

A total of 85.8 percent of respondents support Japan's sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine,

1 About 68 percent Russian support special operation on Ukraine.

2 As a responce to Japanese sanction Russia refuse any further peace negotiation with Japan

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Great news that Japanese people are so in favor of punishing Russia for their murderous invasion of a peaceful nation. Standing by and allowing it to happen is not an option. The best "discouragement" for Russia is sanctions by the world, or most of it, while Russia can see the majority of the world sending aid to those they invade.

If Russia prefers, the world can send soldiers instead and end in WWIII and destruction for everyone including Russia. Would they prefer that to sanctions? I think Russia much prefers to be sanctioned than destroyed.

Thank you Japan for your courage and solidarity with the world and Ukraine. Proud of you guys and gals.

As if the world will talk to Russia for the next few generations. Russia is a virus that needs to be quarantined

Most of Russia's poorly equipped army is very busy right now, in Ukraine.

This "poorly equipped army" starts ground operation from the very first day. Just compare with US Army

In Yugoslavia it was no ground operation at all. Only airstrikes from high altitude.

Russian aviation use today strafing air-strike. Not from 10000 mt altitude.

So Russian military specialists are much more better.

lol No they're not.

*This "poorly equipped army" starts ground operation from the very first day. Just compare with US Army*

Yup, ground troops pour over the border ready for a 2-3 day fight, let the Ukraine forces knock out their supply lines so that Russian tanks run out of fuel and Russian conscripts are reduced to raiding local supermarkets for food or surrendering in return for a meal and a chance to get warm. Russia may have lots of weapons that go bang, but they're poorly maintained (how do you think those oligarchs got so rich?) and those long convoys of fuellless tanks and unarmored supply lorries are sitting ducks for Ukrainian hand-held weaponry.

*Russian military specialists are much more *better.

Strange then that this special military operation that was supposed to be over in just a few days has now been going on for nearly a month, with very little progress made and not one major city taken. The Kremlin meanwhile says everything is going 'in accordance with previously set goals and plans' - which if it were true (it obviously isn't) would mean whoever did the planning intended the chaos, stalling and deaths of thousands of Russian troops.

Note that reducing a city to dust with civilians still inside is not so much military strategy as a war crime.
