Lol like a boss!!

Folks it pays to have friends in high places.

Integrity? Accountability?

Not in Japan. Move along now.

Shameless to the end. The resignation is a stunt, an attempt to avoid an inquiry. Whilst an appalling politically incompetent and ineffective opposition this government will carry on aggrogantly taking the people for granted.

Good riddance you useless tool! And don't ever come back!

to take responsibility for the matter, which she said had "shaken public confidence" in the ministry and the SDF.

No. It had only shaken confidence in the minister herself.

On a separate point:

Inada, wearing a black suit,

Would a man's clothing have been commented on similarly? I doubt it.

No apology

No inquiry

Forget about it, nothing to see here.

Minor issue and she is tossed out! She should have stuck it out. Tomomi should be the next PM.

Would a man's clothing have been commented on similarly? I doubt it.

Of course not! And if she were a man she wouldn't have had to resign either. Down with the patriarchy!!!

And if she were a man she wouldn't have had to resign either.

No reason to suppose that.

Japanese people/the clowns in charge of Japan need to remember these people are public servants, not lords, ladies, earls, royalty or whatever.

Government arrogance and obedient servants performing мilitary honors for the most incompetent minister ever!

Not only she did not deserve that - she shouldn't have get this post in first place.

She was asked one last question and it is obvious she doesn't have the capacity even to understand the meaning of it mumbling like a school girl!

Inada, wearing a black suit

Most politicians wear black suits so this is hardly news. If she was dressed as Kermit the frog it might be worth a mention.

Inada offered no apology because she has no shame. People like her talk about teaching ethics to the youth but have none themselves.

What, you think there was only one issue?

Tomomi should be the next PM.

A view no doubt shared by her good friends in the Japan National Socialist Party - although she can't remember who any of them are, of course, and didn't know anything about them when she posed for photos with them.

This woman has given me the creeps since day one. She reminds me of that kind of obasan in your English class who wrongly tries to correct you on a grammar point and then goes behind your back to the school admin to complain about you when you correct her "correction".

The biggest achievement during the tenure of Tomomi Inada is holding of biggest MALABAR naval exercise among U S , JAPAN AND INDIA in the BAY OF BENGAL , which has rattled the adversaries in the region.

The Defense Ministry usually holds a ceremony for a departing minister, but a senior ministry official was irritated that Inada did not decline the offer to attend the event at a time when the ministry is on high alert following North Korea's second test of an intercontinental ballistic missile late Friday night.

"We had a lot going on inside the ministry and she could have chosen to excuse herself. After all, she did not try to understand the feelings of the people on the frontline," the official said.

Where is the "wa"? I am actually surprised by such open grumbling,,,

Oh yes, she'll definitely be getting the Nobel Peace Prize for that. Maybe a few honorary doctorates, a damehood from Queen Elizabeth II and an Academy Award as well. Monumental, to be sure.

I'm innocent, but I'll quit for it! Hahaha. Please let the door hit you in the way out, Inada. Hard.

Her black suit may have been mentioned to show she's recently toned down her outfits after being criticized as Minister for wearing things considered by many to be inappropriate for the position and the event being attended.

Regardless of their political leanings I'm usually happy to see women obtain high positions as a welcome sign of progress. But I feel Inada was woefully inadequate to the job (to put it mildly!) and hope this is the last we'll be seeing of her.

And now kishida Has the two most important jobs and he is only one person.

On TV she was smiling to the cameras.

She always made me think of Sarah Palin.

Not sad to see the back of either.
