Get the detained J-national freed is he is innocent of espionage. If he is guilty arrange a swap with some Chinese spy held in the Japanese prison system.

A trial for espionage in China is the equivalent of a trial for blasphemy in Iran. No such thing.

SMART move, as Mr. David Gilmour sang "Keep Talking" and the opposite is much worse.

INNOCENT or GUILTY? in terms of what? of CCP's Anti-Spy Law? OK. Japan, it is time to pass its own anti-spy law, how come you don't have such law in the first place?? and detain all those Chinese just because they are merely SUSPICIOUS and tell CCP CHINA " You need to educate them all before enter Japan"

How will we know if he is innocent, without a trial?
