Trust who? Ri Su Yong or Inoki?

Appeasement never works
That's because it's only called "appeasement" in hindsight, after it's failed.
When it works, it's "clever diplomacy" or "skilful negotiations."
Schopenhauer
The world should not make an orphan country. We ignored North Korea too long. A loner becomes a dangerous existence.

Well, someone has to get things going, so it might as well be Inoki, since nobody else seems to have the brains to see our way through this. Better that than vaporizing under atom bombs.
Alfie Noakes
Back in the 70s the US and China had ping-pong diplomacy. Now Japan and North Korea have elderly, bankrupt, obsessive self-publicist, pro-wrestler diplomacy. Nuclear war, you're having a laugh.

Dialog is certainly better than bluster.

Inoki is an idiot looking for the limelight
gokai_wo_maneku
So what happened to Inoki? I can't find this being covered in the news.
Schopenhauer
Inoki is a sports man. A famous American former pro basketball player also visits North Korea occasionally. It is OK. I wish they can be of any help to alleviate the atmosphere. It is difficult to understand what North Korea is doing today and what they are aiming at but we can understandable it if we think the Korean War is still continuing for North Korea. Japan, South Korea and U.S. do not have formal diplomatic relations with them.
Wallace Fred
Interesting how majority on here prefer violence over dialogue. If you'd take a moment to actually study about the reasoning behind all this mess, the mass attrocities committed, duplicity etc. You'd have more information to make clear judgments free of spontaneous emotional reactions.

@smith
not : )

Someday Inoki will realize that talking to the Norks is not effective. That will probably be the same day he realizes how stupid his scarf looks.
PerformingMonkey
Did he greet him with "Genki desu kaaa!?", I wonder?
Hopefully they were all chanting "Inoki, Bom-Ba-Ye" as he came in.
domtoidi
I wonder if he's going to slap Kim Jong Un?

NK need to be felt with sooner not later. This should have been taken care of a long time ago... our leaders have let them get to strong. Now when war does come more will die. Stupid waste.
Okiblue
I don't trust him at all.

Schopenhauer: "The world should not make an orphan country. We ignored North Korea too long. A loner becomes a dangerous existence."
So, the world should make NK an "orphan country", but then you say "loners are dangerous". So, you want to make a dangerous country... because we've ignored NK too long and it's dangerous. Yeah... that makes sense!
Hiro S Nobumasa
Antonio have more wisdom than the battered victim of Stockholm Syndrome Shinzo (SSS).
Inoki should replace SSS as PM of Japan in this difficult and dangerous Trumpy times.
Nippori Nick
Inoki-former pro wrestler. Really says it all. Most of what he does is what wrestlers like to do--promote themselves.
smithinjapan
Yeah... send an entertainer when the world is on the brink of war, and your country is one of the key reasons.
