Seems much more foreign military support for Ukraine will be defensive in nature moving forward, especially air defense. Why?

To buy time for Ukraine, while conflict's being resolved via backchannel channel negotiations now well underway.

So she flew all the way there to pledge this when she could have done the same over the phone or Zoom. Great way to "spend" ahem (waste) tax payer money.

You only hear of the money the Japanese government wants to to know about. Every country is giving more and so they should. Just like all the country's that helped Japan to rebuild after WW2 and after just about every disaster Japan has had.

She's not actually giving money to Ukraine. She's giving equipment worth $37 000 000! So, the money is going from the Japanese government into Japanese manufacturer's pockets.

Not quite. The money is going to NATO in which will be going to European manufacturer's pocket to obtain the needed equipment not Japanese manufacturers as described within the article.

That may be but are we to think that supporting a neighbor, our allies from invading armies is an unworthy cause because of profiteering? History has taught us one important lesson which many have undoubtedly forgotten or never understood. To appease and silently stand by and let a bully go unpunished only leads to more brazen behavior and a much greater price to be paid, morally and financially!

There are ways to deal with profiteering, where there is a will there is a way, but for some to use that as an excuse to not support those innocents who are being slaughtered is immoral.

Why via NATO? She's basically getting Japan to join Biden's senseless proxy war against Russia. And then she'll wonder why the Japan Russia relationship has deteriorated.

A proxy war costs at a bare minimum $20 mil a day (that is less than one week of the skim-offs for the local cabal, who will take a massive haircut).

Nothing here makes dollars and sense. Suspect they have been put up to do this because the boys on the Hill Stateside aren't ready to issue another blank check.
