Of course he does... weaklings always support moronic bullies

Easy there thunderbyrd! Letting your emotions get to you again!

Thunderbrd2: "Of course he does... weaklings always support moronic bullies"

Not only that, but Abe desperately needs NK to distract from his scandals and increase his popularity, since he's incapable of living up to the vows he made to get elected.

14 ( +26 / -12 )

And right on queue, Abe and his asskissery.

19 ( +26 / -7 )

Japan, the United States and South Korea will continue to put pressure on North Korea to change its policy,"

Remove South Korea from this equation, they definitely wanted this summit to go thru..both the Koreas want unification and Abe & co will do anything to undermine such a scenario.

13 ( +20 / -7 )

Of course he does the sycophant.

10 ( +15 / -5 )

A new squeaking plastic bone and a tummy rub on the way.

11 ( +16 / -5 )

Just like a loyal little lapdog!

9 ( +14 / -5 )

He follows but also pays for blockade cost with his "partner" South Korea.

Abe desperately needs NK to distract from his scandals.

This and only this. The disturbing part is that it actually works.

Kim wants a photo op and no limitations on his nuclear program. It was naive for Trump to even consider meeting with this little tyrant to begin with.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Extremely wise move by PM Abe. Always good to support your best friend, just as USA always supports Japan. If opportunity still exist for Summit between PM Abe and Chairman Kim, probably in Singapore, lets do it. Offer is on the table if NK respects Japan position and returnes the 15 imprisoned kidnappees.

-3 ( +7 / -10 )

Having no nukes of his own, what else could Abe have done?

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Did anyone REALLY expect Abe to stand up, be a man, and tell Trump..."Dude you are wrong"

Oh right, my bad, this IS Abe we are talking about, he can only act the strong leader when someone else is leading the charge!

1 ( +8 / -7 )

"Woof woof," Abe-kun. "Waggy tail! Good boy!"

2 ( +9 / -7 )

Did anyone REALLY expect Abe to stand up, be a man, and tell Trump..."Dude you are wrong"

Is Trump wrong? Jury is out. Over the last month things have been going a bit off the rails and not all of it has been Trumps doing. You had more ridiculous language coming out of the N.Korean foreign minister and you also had them deny South Korean journalists from witness the nuclear test site shutdown after initially promising them they would be invited. Its been a series of missteps on both sides, but it seems pretty clear to me that North Korea is not yet ready to give up their nuclear weapons and until that changes....

Trump tonight at 10.35pm JT:

"After much thought and consideration, I have finally decided that it is in the world's best interests to go ahead with the planned meeting and will therefore meet with KJU at an earlier date, probably as early as next week. Thank you, Don"

Abe at 10.44pm:

"Ehhh, I fully support President Trump's decision to not only 'uncancel' June 12's meeting with KJU but also bring it forward. Thank you, US most humble & obedient servant - Shinzo"

You are in dire need of a history lesson if you believe what you just wrote.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

If Trump farted Japan would support it.

0 ( +6 / -6 )

Japan you should be quiet right now you are irrelevant to this situation

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

There is no doubt that Japan and PM Abe has come out clear winner in this game. First, Moon of SK has been exposed as liar and cheat. The reports from DC is Moon tried to play Trump and mislead Trump on NK. Moon ans SK's position is now very weak in DC and with Trump. Japan will now stand to gain at South Korea's expense.

Trump will now return to the policy of max pressure on North Korea. Exactly what PM Abe wants, so Japan wins again.

As for China, the relationship between the US and China is headed downhill. The Americans just kicked China out of Rimpac exercise. As the relationship between the US and China goes downhill, Japan's position will be enhanced. Again a clear win for Japan.

Finally, this weeks events will serve as reminder to the Japanese people of real issues and not fake issues. Again, another win for Shinzo Abe.

Shinzo Abe is the Shohei Otani of politics he just wins!!!

It is Kim who got what he wanted. Trump is too much trouble. This was Kim only has to deal with South Korea and China.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

So....screw the abductees then? I long for the day japanese sheeple will wake the hell up.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

It's been very disheartening to see all the careless insults and demands being shoved down North Korea's throat by both The US and to some degree, Japan as well. This BEFORE even meeting ..him.

How on earth are we expecting to find any middle ground if the parties involved are not willing to shut up and sit down face-to-face in the first place ?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Of course it does.

North Korean threat = reason to change the constitution and militarize

No threat = no reason

Even a baby can see this plain obvious reality. You have to be a mainstream intellectual not to see it.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Perhaps, Japan should act more as a regional super power, and support negotiations between Chousen and U. S. - talking and meeting can lead to greater peace and understanding between peoples.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Japan keen to seem relevant more like. Abe is too busy covering up his own scandals, how can he be seen to be a powerful leader?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Loud mouth Pence and Bolton sunk the summit. Trump's decision was not a good one.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Good for Japan.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

"I didn't want to go to Singapore anyway."

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Of course it does. Japan is trying to mend the rift caused by this recent stupidity by Trump.

The winner in this fiasco might be Ji of China. Clumsy and moronic American leaders have called Kim names like Rocket Man, Pres. Un, doesn't Pompie even know the head honcho's name he met a few weeks ago? Of course, the fat leader of the North did spit out his share of insults. What could've been a sane, win-win situation over a period of time, Mr. Orange had to bungle the deal with a badly written letter. Mr. Ji on the other hand, is probably smiling because it makes his country closer to unifying North/South, Japan and all of Asia under his terms. Wonder what happened to the ZTE deal? Is Orange still going to keep allowing them into the U.S., not to mention the help that he got for half a billion for a Trump bldg in Asia? Now PM Abe, has to suck up to all sides. Buy more bldgs in U.S. from the Kushners, build factories in the North if North and South get together. Famous last words from the limited vocabulary of Mr. Orange "We'll see."

1 ( +1 / -0 )

If Syria had nukes, there would be no isis, no refugees, no terrorisom, none of these mess USA has created, there would've actually been peace. I'm sure Kim understands this pretty well!

mrtinjp:

...both the Koreas want unification...

Simple statement. You are aware, I hope, that their visions of a unified Korean peninsula are quite different. Are you also aware that President Moon’s interest is more political than real as a great section of the SK population - those under 30 - have no enthusiasm for unification?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Shinzo Abe is the Shohei Otani of politics he just wins!!!

What has Abe won? Did he get the abductees back? (No) Did he get HIS chance to talk with Kim? (No) Has Abe done anything productive? (No)

Has Abe continually aggravated the situation by jumping from side to side and through hoops to appease Trump and the local media. (Yes) Has Abe made himself look like an idiot who doesnt know what he wants to the rest of the world? (Yes)

Abe can't even get his own people to listen to his "urges" "requests" and can't get his own country's economy moving without indebting future generations. Along with a giant list of other crap, and that doesnt even begin to touch on the cronyism and his arrogance towards the Japanese people.

Comparing him to Otani ........Abe isn't qualified to carry Otani's shoes!

"Donald Trump says North Korea summit could be back on" - Guardian

Feel stoopid yet, Nihon? Notice the brown ring around Abe's nose yet, Nihon? Money is more important than national pride, huh Nihon? Second in the Human centipede chain and happy for it Nihon, huh? My growing disappointment in you is deep.
