Everyone in the region knows China is the offender to worry about. Even Vietnam.

Defense against who!? Nobody is attacking any of these countries, just USA is slowly occupying them.

Yes, these countries have to worry about China, but they also have to worry about their "ally" the US at their back. As demonstrated by Ukraine and countless other countries, the US likes to outsource their wars, letting other countries lose lives and infrastructure to support US global aspirations. It's a difficult balancing act, and I hope Japanese leaders are smart enough not to allow Japan to be sacrificed to further US power.

I know they are brave enough to fight tanks without tanks. I know they were able to kill 20k of the invaders in Bakhmut.
