The approval rate for Ishiba is meaningless as he has been in office for only a few weeks, the Diet has been dissolved and there is zero legislative achievement.

Excellent ! Time for a change from the LDP cronies!

Ishiba is there to take the fall. They’ve at least considered the next PM.
If you lose seats you can’t go on as if nothing happened or business as usual. Switch out Ishiba and continue the musical chairs.

If CDP return to ruling party, politics maybe clean. But, present CDP's policies, especially economy or financial, are not so different to LDP anymore, it's not clear that they can relieve citizen facing difficulties such as poverty.
Even If present ruling party lost majority of the lower house, their executive seem to plan to join with far-right opposition parties who have eugenic thought, hate social vulnerable and divide public.

I was so bored the other day that I actually listened to some of the opposition candidates' speeches. They could be summarized as "Free money for old people" -- they don't explain how they are going to fund their socialist nirvana. They are all economically illiterate. I hope to God none of them ever get into power.

Japan is already a socialist nirvana for friends of LDP politicians. It's a decaying capitalist craphole for everyone else, of course.
As if the LDP have done such a fantastic job. I don't see how anyone else could do any worse.

A bit like the LDP's policies then, except for the LDP the free money is for them.
