It is difficult to comprehend and appreciate any country giving UN any "power" other than to add and give "justification" to further "condemn" NK. It would be disastrous if UN had any "taxation" or "enforcement" power.

Even if UN by resolution and declaration condemned NK, it is only a sense of "value" based upon other than the NK people, which cannot be forced upon NK or enforced. It only makes those nations making such claims "appear" to be better than NK and give reason to "interfere" and possibly get world "opinion" to back up to "justify" some actions against NK such as the embargo, which actually "hurts" the NK people and proven to be of little effect politically.

In any case.., it is the N Korean people that are suffering in the eyes of those not living there.

To begin with NK is still on war status. Any nation during war has the mentality to bear much loss in rights and privileges.

May make much more sense to officially and effectively "end" the war and change the "status" for NK, before talking about human rights, other rights and privileges.

Why does not Britain, France and six other countries protest about the human rights abuses and war crimes against the Palestinians? Japan has totally given up its sovereignty to the US. Japan has allowed itself to have its foreign policy dictated by the US. It is time the Japanese people regained control of their nation and distanced itself form the dictatorship of the US. Japan cannot even rid itself of US bases.
