U.S. naval armada to be in Sea of Japan in days

You realise one North Korean missile would wipe out this fleet if it blew up over them even ik it was unintentional.

Do you think those NK missiles will make it beyond 100 feet or so before they blow up on their own (hope the nukes are not armed or NK has the telemetry tech to disarm or terminate)? Add to that, US has moved missile defense systems to SK to take them out before nuke blows up. Unfortunately, any nuke explosion will be a shock to the whole area. China make take offensive action against NK so this does not happen (Chinese spies are in NK military).

NK is a spoiled child is like a spoiled child that has needed a spanking for a long time although in a politically correct world. I don't wish for war as it is truly shows man's worst but sometimes man's worst will destroy man's worst offenders of democracy and free speech (besides JT deleting posts- this is there website I guess).

An utterly uneducated individual (trump) uses "Armada" for effect and now a Carrier Strike Group has been sent back several hundred years.

IThe USS Ronald Reagan and the USS Nimitz are also suppose to be joining the fleet. Three carriers and their fleet seems like overkill.

That report started with Yonhap and has been denied by Defense Dept.

The Carl Vinson is Out of service in Dry Dock for major work and is useless for the next 6 months.

Many Support ships in Sasebo in dry docks for repairs. The navy is low on available ships in Japan and supplying 100's of Jobs to the Local Japanese Economy now.

Just remember 1 Boomer Submarine can take out the whole world.

Surface ships are nice targets. But the Battle group has many missile defenses and they work good.

DPRK is not the problem. China is the problem.

Stop the bellicosity, stop the sanctions, and let the two Koreas unify at their own pace.

You go and convince NK that nobody intends to invade them so they can stop with the missle and nuclear weapons development. Then there'd be no need for UN sanctions or resolutions.

What folks also probably aren't aware of is that the Carl Vinson may be near the Korean Peninsula, the Ronald Reagan group is at Yokosuka too.

Carl Vinson is at sea heading for Sea of Japan for exercises. Two JMSDF destoyers just left Sasebo to join the group. Carl Vinson is scheduled for maintenance later and Nimitz will replace her.

Many forget if they ever knew, the War Crimes and atrocities committed against North Korea by the US and it's 'Allies' in the Korean War. Cities, towns, villages carpet bombed and naplamed, with pilots claiming they had run out of targets (was every town and hamlet a genuine military target?). Germ warfare was used against the people; though strenuously denied by the perps, Dave Chaddock proves the case in his book: 'This Must Be the Place: How the U.S. Waged Germ Warfare in the Korean War and Denied It Ever Since'.

Though the world may have forgotten, the North Koreans haven't, any more than the Armenians and Palestinians haven't forgotten the genocides and massacres.

Why should North Korea not have nuclear weapons, when the likes of Israel does, and gets not only no sanctions, but billions of $ in aid and arms transfers from the US?

The Clinton Administration came very close to a deal and normalisation with the North Koreans in 2005, but Bush then sunk the deal and declared the DPRK as part of the 'axis of evil' (odd, that, as North Korea hasn't been part of a US-led 'axis', and the US is widely accepted across much of the globe as the 'Evil Empire', oor the 'Great Satan', and not without justification.

If the US does commence hostilities, it will show scant concern for the millions of South Korean 'Allies' who would assuredly die, as well as their own Korea-based forces, and neigbouring countries who would be affected by radiation spread. And Japan, as an ally of the beligerant potential aggressor, would also likely suffer.
