Unsure.

Wish there weren't conflicting reports about the cause and chemicals used. Bush Jr. lied. Would rather not have military actions over less than 100% positive conclusions.

It was an illegal act. Permission was not consulted as is required. May just got the go-ahead from her crony buddies.

This was (one again) everyone playing follow the leader.

I'm not against intervention to stop these alleged chemical attacks. But first, I want to see proof. Then, I wan't it sanctioned by the UN before any action is taken.

100% support. There had to have been a response for this use of chemical weapons. If there was no military response at all, you can bet we would be seeing unrestricted use of chemicals from now on from all other questionable countries

I don’t think that will ever happen. It’s pretry much impossible to come to a 100% conclusion.

That said if we could get the whole world to agree to that standard we’d never have war again so it would be a good thing!

Sure, sure, the "West" is always WRONG, and everything that's done by the chinese, Russians & Assad is just FINE.

It's the "West" that's all screwed up....RIGHT Lefties ?

Someone in Assad's administration sees the opposition as vermin, or nasty insects perhaps.

Let us hope that after two rounds of chemical use for final mopping up operations, and sharp raps on the knuckles, those conducting day-to-day army/air force operations will alter their modus operandi. High explosives all the way, I guess.

How the rebels, extreme or moderate, benefit in any way from these spot bombings of chemical labs, I fail to see.

So basically you do not want any action at all. There is no such thing as 100% positive proof in a peaceful dountry let alone in a war zone and Russia will always block any UN resolution against its ally Assad so seeking UN sanctions is pointless.

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions, and all it requires for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing. Never have these two been more appropriate than in this case. A wish for world peace is understandable and certainly a "good intention" but utterly pointless and meaninless as long as there are those in power in rogue states who are willing to use violence against their own or other people to achieve their agenda. If the world as civil and civilised countries (and nowadays that is most of them) do not stand up to the evil men then we will all ultimately go down in to the pit.

Reminds me of the “weapons of mass destruction” fabrication by the same bunch of hypocrites as the “rationale” to attack Iraq. Result? Death. Destruction. Chaos in the whole region.

Remember Mr. Trump’s words in 2016 about Saddam Husain’s use of chemical weapons? Read the Washington Post news on his speech for yourself:

...Candidate Trump OK when dictator (Saddam) 'throws a little gas'....

Are we to believe that Mr. Trump and Mrs. May truly care about the poor people of Syria being “chemicalized” by their ruling dictator?

It’s utterly a JOKE!

War = weapons sales in the USA and helps create jobs but I really don't agree with DT's approach with this and why he decided to go to war in a country that wants to kill Americans. There are issue in the US that need to be addressed rather than WAR in a different country. IMO

"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others"-we have been living in this world for quite a while, and though it was initially written to describe a totalitarian state, not it describes how our world works.

The less equal states need to follow rules and abide laws, collect evidence and follow court decisions/resolutions of agencies in charge. More equal states don't have to play by these rules, they can grab their homies and go solve ailments of this world with a panacea of missile strikes.

A great 21st century diplomacy and leadership example to follow ...((

We have here in this moment a wonderful and, if you're lucky, possibly epiphanous moment in 'fake' news being laid before us like a wetland paved in compressed faeces. On Day One, President Trump announces the imminent recall of all U.S. forces from Syria. Almost exactly seven days later, an event occurs which only occurs when there is a political judgement to be influenced. We are told that the Syrian government in the midst of a highly successful military operation lost all rationality and dropped a (one) chemical bomb upon the citizens of the disobedient enclave. Whether this bomb contained Chlorine or nerve gas is not clear but there is no similarity in the effects of the two very different agents.

We, the American People at least, the hoi polloi, the Great Unwashed, are not known for our abilities to remember political tricks for very long nor even be remotely adept at recognizing them when they appear again and again but, when there is only one week between a political statement of intent and an otherwise highly rare event which seems to directly contradict the wisdom of the original political statement and causes its reversal, even such as we can see the hand holding the false flag. Human beings were, by all accounts, seriously injured and killed for nothing but to change Donald Trump's mind. And here we must invoke 'Cui bono?', who benefits? Assad and the Syrian government benefit the very least as even the most diehard trumpist must see. Whoever it is we are supposedly supporting is an obvious choice for most concerned, having most to lose. They are the closest to the area, and the clumsiness of the act and obviousness of the timing suggests bad planning and some desperation. And, if any 'state' player is involved, it will be one well known for assassinations and false flag attacks. There is only one.

Our lesson here is that despite the high probability, almost certainty in a rational Universe, of the Syrian government not having anything to do with this 'chemical attack', every news outlet in our media world is treating the U.S. government line as absolute fact and most have dropped the word 'alleged' in their evidence free judgement against Syria. Every news outlet...including the one you trust most, whatever that happens to be. 'Fake news' is just the new name for what used to be called 'propaganda' and, before that, 'hogwash', and, before that 'news'.

For anyone raised in the United States, we have been listening to 'fake news' since we were born and much of what we believe about ourselves is fake news from the past. What must be observed most attentively is the universality of this most obvious lie reported as fact by ALL media in the U.S.. The attack itself is the fake news. And the 'retaliation'? Much like the last time, a large amount of very expensive hardware removed from inventory which must be replaced and that hardware thrown at worthless targets with very few casualties or damage to important infrastructure.

"Wag the Dog" has inspired much of this sort of behavior and, although we've seen this movie scenario played over and over again in our news, we are still willing to 'suspend disbelief' even when the obviousness of the lie hits us in the forehead. And again, our lesson here is not the lie itself but the universality of the outlets willing to implant that lie in us. That is, ALL U.S. media is somebody's fake news trying to drag perception into its own trap.

Very well said William.

Robert Frisk has made it to Douma and has declared that he:

"found no evidence of a mass chemical attack, but he's encountered multiple local eyewitnesses who experienced the chaos of that night, but who say the gas attack never happened."

I wonder what the WW III'ers on here will have to say when more and more evidence starts coming fourth and they MIGHT start to realize they've been duped, again, by the MSM war offices.

all it requires for evil to prosper is for good men to believe everything evil men say and not make an effort learn what is truly happening.

False flag like Saddam with Iraq and 9-11 in America. So obvious.

PM May is so afraid of losing trade with America that she went along with Trump's little adventure... quite sad really. She's making the UK look like a puppy tagging behind the Pit Bull that is America.

Perhaps, but there is also this:

Philip May, husband of the UK prime minister, works for a company that is the largest shareholder in arms manufacturer, BAE Systems, whose share price has soared since the recent airstrikes in Syria.

The company, Capital Group, is also the second-largest shareholder in Lockheed Martin – a US military arms firm that supplies weapons systems, aircraft and logistical support. Its shares have also rocketed since the missile strikes last week.

Oh dear... that old chestnut again - you really believe your government would kill thousands of US citizens just to start a war? The paranoia of some people still amazes me.

FALSE FLAG

Thunderbird2: Oh dear... that old chestnut again - you really believe your government would kill thousands of US citizens just to start a war? The paranoia of some people still amazes me.

Yep and they did, where are those WMD Saddam had? RIGHT. Yes they would kill 1000s to make money on their investments. People are collateral damage to them. So long as they get more money and power people mean nothing to them and never will. And you sir know this. War is a racket as a USMC General wrote.

I'd like to see a poll that says "Did you vote NO because Trump did it, but you would have voted YES if Obama did it?"
