With the farcical Donald J. Trump, who prides himself in creating havoc throught the world, most of the world is ar risk.

When Trump is nearly in every front page news website and Putin is mentioned or has something to do with it, and trade wars bring back the history of the late 20's and 30's. You know what followed that. If we fail to learn from our mistakes, we are bound to repeat history as has been said.

Rogue president of the USA and his economic and diplomatic confrontationalism. Though Putin and Xi do not help either, with their unilateral territorial and online games.

Nor do people's shortening attention spans on the internet.

Strangely, traditionally unstable areas (Afghanistan and Syria withstanding) seem more stable than in the past.

But - who knows - not for long

Every minute of everyday Trump has the nuclear football by him. Have a nice sleep!

Yes, thanks to islam.

Point out a poster has lied, and JT mods delete your post and maybe suspend your account. Blame an entire religious community for an imaginary increase in danger around the world, and they're a-ok with that as long as you're blaming the "right" religion.

The bawling left looking to shut down opinions they don’t like is very dangerous.

The right loves every minute of this. Trump supporters in particular.

It's the same as two, four, eight years ago.

@katsu, how exactly is the world more dangerous? Please look up all the stats, internationally, domestically in almost any country and you'll be proven wrong. All of you are so caught up with the silliness of Trump that you assume everywhere is more dangerous. Islam is a menace on the world, and will last way beyond a Trump and his policies.

Erm, I'm well aware that the world is not more dangerous. That's why I called the increase "imaginary". You need to aim your comment at the guy I quoted, thanks.

Not a matter of the world being more dangerous. Some areas, yes. Many, no,

I get the impression from many posters that they are disappointed there hasn’t been a world-wide nuclear war.

Some of the anti-war students I marched with in the 60s were genuinely bloodthirsty when describing what they’d like to do to “pigs” and returning “baby-killer” Vietnam vets who weren’t sufficiently anti-war in their opinion. I stopped marching when I realized that too many of my comrades were exhibitionists.

Seeing the comments above, I'm surprised nobody mentioned anything about environmental threats like stronger typhoons, more temperature swings, flooding, landslides (and so on). While terrorism, cyber threats and geopolitics are taking the headlines (because they're more dramatic and sell better), environmental issues affects everyone. In just a span of a few weeks, we just saw hundreds of people being displaced by floods and then being ravaged by extreme heat. Not to be a tree-hugging nutcase here, but when people start to realize that hoarding and exploiting as much resources for profit causes them to lose the resources and profit they're so desperate to hoard, could probably wake them up to the reality that they should cooperate to preserve what's left than to fight for it.

That's funny.

I frequently point out how much more dangerous the world, and especially Japan, has become the past years, yet my comments often get deleted.

As they say, imitation is the most sincerest form....

The world has always been a dangerous place, I grew up under Mutualy Assured Destruction and the everyday expectation of potentially being nuked. My parents and grand parents fought 2 World Wars in which and as a consequence of which hundreds of millions died.

Currently I do not think things are as bad as they have been.

Funny, the left hand become crazily violent, when you have moonbats like Maxine Waters that hangs out with racists, tells her constituents to push people and get in their faces, idiots like the Hollywood loons that are totally unhinged and can’t put a coherent sentence together, but feel it's their right to threaten and call people names, ANTIFA smashing property and getting in people’s faces, but cowardly wear masks run and the first sign of physical resistance. Yes, you have some idiots in Trump’s camp, but the left feel it is their sacred duty to browbeat people into making them think their way or the belief that they are superior to you because they grew up by the ocean, eating a balanced diet of green sludge and bike riding and thinking anyone that grew up on a farm and likes indulging themselves eating pickled pigs feet is in someway intellectually inferior. The unwillingness to accept a different opposing viewpoint. This is the real danger that faces us.

I can't necessarily say that it is becoming more dangerous or less dangerous. When it comes to think about each incidents, each of them have become big, complicated serious, and also included many countries related to them. So I think the numbers of the problems have becoming less than two years ago, but one big problem happens.

When you have a French leader afraid to stand up to Putin, and let the Russians do what they want. Then of course!
