Masks are only the symbol of oppression, silencing and an attempt to erase our identities. If it is indeed the symbol of this 'plandemic' it does not represent a lot of us.
El Rata: "Masks are only the symbol of oppression, silencing and an attempt to erase our identities."
Actually, I'd say that's a pretty good description of death... especially from Covid-19 and for morons who think masks are a symbol of oppression, and who ultimately get made into internet memes as they lie on their deathbeds saying, "I didn't know this would happen at a political rally/corona party! Please don't be like me!", and then are forgotten entirely.
In any case, they're not really a symbol of corona in Japan or countries where they have traditionally been work for hay fever, colds, the flu, and/or to avoid air-pollution, although the prevalence of them has increased dramatically. In those countries they can better be attributed to sickness in general, but in a lot of Western countries of late, I'd say they are the thing most easily attributable to Corona in terms of images, yes.
Masks are only the symbol of oppression, silencing and an attempt to erase our identities.
One thinks of all those doctors, nurses and medics over the decades. Every day for their lifetime careers, they've had their identities erased and silenced.
If it is indeed the symbol of this 'plandemic' it does not represent a lot of us.
It's a piece of cloth. And a reminder that plandemic is a conspiracy theory.

Absolute mince! I suppose you also deny the existence of the virus as well? Would you turn down a vaccine? Oh, no... you probably think Bill Gates has inserted nano tracking thingies...
I believe the virus exists however it isn't as bad as they want us to believe but whatever, I respect your opinions. At the end of the day nobody can force me to wear one as per Japanese law, like it or not there's nothing anyone can do. You guys wear your mask if you want, but let other people be free.
I voted no. The mot visible symbol of the coronavirus is the utter devastation of what used to be the beautiful city of San Francisco. All due to the neverending shutdown of businesses since March. People and businesses are leaving in droves.
Thanks a lot, liberal Democrat politicians.
But according to Mr. Trump the better symbol is a shot of bleach.
This is really disheartening having people continue to perpetuate this lie.

It has nothing to be with being free, what a ridiculous comment. It's about respect for everyone around you. Even if you don't respect your own health. Respect everyone else's health

Exactly this. El Rata, you not wearing a mask, and blurting out comments like you did, does not show and convey your 'individuality' and 'freedom' - it merely shows how selfish and ignorant you are. But, if those are your goals, then...
just so you know, this was the same argument that happened in the Last Pandemic in 1917-1920. There were organized groups in the USA and other countries that had the same arguments against wearing masks as it was to control humanity.

I think you misunderstood El Rata's comment. What he is saying is that he is the most important person in his world. Everyone else's health pales in comparison to the importance of his freedumb, which we have to respect first and foremost.
I think in some countries. Japan routinely wore masks for various reasons before, so I think all the cancellations of planned social events will be remembered more than the requirement wearing masks.
In the United States, Trump and Black Lives Matters Movement will likely eclipse the wearing of masks, but it will be part the backdrop.
What does the question mean? Countries wearing masks are infected? If you are wearing a mask you are fighting it? Masks have been in Asia for a long time so the question doesn't make sense.
"In Sweden, masks are not something that the authorities recommend, probably because it would prevent herd immunity."
Sweden and the other Scandanavian countries are amazing places. The have a first world lifestyle with excellent education, social programs, and healthcare. In short, they take care of their citizens and respect the international community. Sweden chose to follow a different route, but unfortunately, they made some mistakes. I respect them for trying something different with a new virus.

How wonderful for you. I hate every second I’m forced to wear one.
