Don't know about the list, I didn't watch 4 of the. But a strong president that is not politically correct. The PC bull has gone way too far. It's about time to real it in. Life's reality we all have wins and loses and trying to please everybody is impossible and need to stop trying.

Interesting that despite there being several black or women presidents in media, this list is entirely composed of white men.

MarkGAPR. 11, 2016 - 08:59AM JST Don't know about the list, I didn't watch 4 of the. But a strong president that is not politically correct. The PC bull has gone way too far. This is a confusing comment because political correctness is not and has never been about trying to please everyone. But then the accusation of political correctness has been used so often as a knee-jerk, dishonest defense against criticism of bigotry that maybe people are getting confused about what the term even means. But still, your post sounds an awful lot like you're trying to say that government should only focus on pleasing people who look like you, a dubious proposition if ever there was one. That's not strength, that's superficiality.

A similar poll was done a few years ago, and Jeff Bridges as Jackson Evans in the movie The Contender (2000 see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Contender_(2000_film)) won.

His brother Beau was president in Stargate once too, in a parallel universe.

Happily (or sadly) movies and TV are not real - much of the daily news not withstanding.

katsu 78, I don't know about that. Recent events in many US universities would lead me to conclude differently. The latest is a school declaring chalk graffiti that said "Trump 2016" to be hate speech.

Other--Dave Chappelle

Get off my plane Harrison Ford seems like a hard right Republican, obsessed with Russians and national security.

Give me a progressive Martin Sheen any day!

2 ( +4 / -2 )

None of the above.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

None of the above. Jack Nicholson in Mars Attacks.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Martin Sheen was also President Greg Stillson in The Dead Zone. "The missiles are flying. Hallelujah, hallelujah."

Get off my plane Harrison Ford seems like a hard right Republican, obsessed with Russians and national security.

But according to this survey, that image of a "hard right (R)" Ford is leading the poll. So apparently, this what JT posters would like to see portrayed as a US "movie TV President."

Wonder why the poll isn't featuring (D) Morgan Freeman? . . . when he played the US president on that movie, "Deep Impact." Nope. H. Ford is The MAN!

I voted for Harrison Ford only because I imagined that character as Jack Ryan.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Ronald Reagan.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Robin Williams- Man Of The Year

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Jamie Foxx in White House Down

2 ( +2 / -0 )

None of the above. Too bad Steve Martin is not on the list.

Where is the Mister President from a Scary Movie? He would blend in and actually make that island great again...

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Forget that lot!

What about Jack Nicholson in Mars Attacks? Or Stephen Colbert in Monsters vs Aliens?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Alan Alda in Canadian Bacon

Independence Day's President Thomas Whitmore ( Bill Pullman ): "We're being exterminated!"

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Actually, I would prefer Morgan Freeman who has played POTUS twice as well as God twice and is presently making a documentary about God..

1 ( +3 / -2 )

24's President David Palmer: "If this bomb goes off today, it'll hurt us, but it'll destroy you."

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Peter Sellers in Dr. Strangelove.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Don't forget Jack Nicholson in "Mars Attacks."

3 ( +3 / -0 )

But a strong president that is not politically correct. The PC bull has gone way too far

So definitely not Dennis Haysbert in "24".

I imagine it's not much fun to be a bigot in a society that is changing for the better and I'm sure this is made even more painful by the inevitable loss of one's racial majority status.

Poor guys.

Recent events in many US universities would lead me to conclude differently. The latest is a school declaring chalk graffiti that said "Trump 2016" to be hate speech.

Five foolish students at one school who persuaded no-one ain't a much of a case.

what, no Kevin Spacey?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

How about Martin Freedman?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Ron Jeremy in 'The President does Dallas'. Or something like that.

There is only one answer.

President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Comacho from the classic movie "Idiocracy", as played by Terry Crews.

This thread is over.

You're welcome

Peter Sellars, Chance in Being There.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

None of them. Kevin Spacey in House of Cards shoud be on the list...

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

None of the above. Bring back Bill ? Bill Clinton was a good president, but not a very nice guy. George Bush was actually a very likeable guy, but turned out to be a very bad president.

Or the black president from 'Fifth Element' - he was pretty cool.

I loved the president on 24 season one the most.
