And could all the people who voted "Someone else" say who they could actually see as the next PM for this country? This option seems like complaining for the sake of complaining.
OK, from an editorial standpoint, the "please" was probably unnecessary.
But, I can definitely understand the frustrations politically and considering how difficult people like me make the lives of the editorial and moderation staff, I'm willing to cut a lot of slack (do demands for an apology here, gang ;-) ).
from the current standing, DPJ will surely win.
I think it is better to give DPJ chance to run Japan once so that they can experience how difficult it is compare to just critizing everytime.
My guess is Hatoyama won't serve long: somehow, I believe that Ozawa will end up being the Prime Minister within a year, if not sooner. Sorry to say it, but Ozawa looks too sly to be content to sit on the sidelines or with simply a cabinet position, while even during "victory" interviews, Hatoyama looked as clueless as a deer being struck by a truck's headlights....almost as if he didn't expect to win....

8 days to go only for Aso/Hatoyama. May Japan get the best PM for 2009/2010s.
I do not mind Aso or Hatoyama become PM.
Japan needs to decide in 8 days.
I think elections/leadership in future, will even better in Japan.
Japan people/JT readers have raised many issues for solutions, future leadership should debate these issues and come up with the best way up.

It would be nice to see Aso get re-elected. But I still stand behind Ishihara Nobuteru.
TokyoRoughGuy
Aso is the best choice. Only the LDP has enough experience to run the country.

actually this whole charade is for the DPJ to be brought in to take the blame for all the hidden bankruptcies and pain. Typical ...

It is either DPJ takes out LDP.
